Not out yet & 250 sounds pricey! :o
Does that come with a bumper cold air feed then, cause the above radiator ones which come with most kits arent as good as relocating to bumper r they?
What colours will it come in? Hopefully blue & carbon to match my HT leads.
Que girly scream... ... ...
Bet u cant sleep, let us know how it is then by posting tomorrow.
I bet you have to run it in for a thousand miles though dont you?
Hey, no one whos drove that R5 has NOT stalled at least once.
I got the hang of it very quick and i wasnt shy with it either was i Kenny? ;)
Didnt know they were not surpose to go over 7 grand! :devilish::D Loved it though!
Not in a 16v changing before 3k, you have to up idle revs or let the revs pick up by putting the clutch down very slowly on entering the higher gear.
If you cant understand my explanation ull have to drive a phase 2 to catch my drift. ;)
Its not a big problem, just annoying sometimes.
So do they make them for the F7 engine yet or what?
They look cool but should improve acceration if the kit can suck in a fair amount of cold air.
Not from standstill cause you leave it on the clutch for a few split seconds dont you to ease away, but if you let the pedal out quickly then it is snappy, yes.
Car jerks as you let off clutch when changing up a gear at around 2.5 to 3grand if you dont match revs for the gear your entering...
No im used to the stiffer clutch pedal but thatll be why you dont have the problem. Its not a case of the pedal being to heavy to control when lifting off. Its that if you dont spend a second matching revs when changing up early then itll jolt into next gear. Hence it p*ssing me off! :@
Not...
Hi, im thinking of getting some original sized drilled discs from BB and Pagid pads. Only £100 a pair.
How good are they for improving braking performance? Any1 got them for a 16v?
Cheers.
Mine creaks too on drivers side. Im gonna try and sort this out with some WD40 at the weekend when i try and fix my slow passenger electric window aswell. Pain.
My mistake, read it wrong. Sorry Craggy.
What was the technical prob then? I have a feeling theyll be a few in its teething period, hope they can be all over-come.
R u gonna be putting yours on 17s Nick? Id imagine they wont sapp power when trying to put 200bhp down on the ground. :o...
Was i right about it being phase 1?
Pain for driving in traffic though the p2 clutch! Its only when it engages cause of the weight making it thrust into flywheel i think. I drove my old Golf the other day & i really like how easy they change gear. Even if you do get over-taken by...
NO! Rip off!
What do they do then? Touch up or respray panel or area? I know they have to file rust out and de-oxidise area, then prime it if its gone rusty.
Touch ups look crap IMO but do they look perfect if Reno do them?
Ive got them on my bonnet, wouldnt touch up though cause they...
This thread is confusing! 1.4 phase 1 engines either have an ECU or dont. Do all 1.4 p1 have a choke? An IK will be fine for it anyway nfbr.
The phase 2 probably has more torque than the phase 1 hence it being quicker. Did they put a cat on the phase 1s?
Not really cause ud have problems when using ur Valver after driving a 172 or XR2. Unless u change gear and engage clutch slower than my great great great grannys mum. ;)
Yours is a phase 1 16v i bet with the lighter clutch. Ive driven a phase 1 & it is a smoother gear change to my Mk2...
Me too. I am seriously considering it for in a years time but things like blowing engines and how quickly itll chew gearboxes etc worry me.
More importantly my engine will have covered over 80k by the time im in a financial position to have it converted, so new bearings piston rings & cranks...
