If i was in the market for a cliosport again i wouldn't bother with the 182. I'd get a cup and with the extra cash replace the seats, get coilovers and maybe a new exhaust. The air con is nice to have but gets used so rarely.
You wont get that kind of a drop on a cup. The difference between my 182 FF on sportlines and a cup i saw on sportlines the other week was massive.
Its the weight you see.
Needs coilies i reckon.
Just wanted to know if anyone could post how much their insurance premiums rose when they put their car on different springs.
A percentage figure would be helpful.
Preferably 182 owners putting sportlines on.
Thanks
What "buyer beware this car has been in a major accident and subsequently repaired"...........get real. Does anyone have any morals these days?
In this case, unlike a ciggie burn or a small scratch here or there, the purchaser cant see there was ever a problem with car (so long as the repairs...
My crack is barely visible !!
With a bit of sanding down and some back to black the join is quite faint, especially when its on the car and being driven.
I guess the fibreglass route would be the best for a splitter broken in more than two parts, but for me it was a case of spending a fiver...
Took Fm's advice on this and used two old cards (AA membership and snooker club cards) with araldite.
First of all i cleaned all surfaces to be glued and used sand paper to get a good joining surface. Joined the two parts of the splitter with three bits of card (cut up and rolled to mimick the...
Cheers all.
Well, got it off last night and the impact has ripped quite a few holes around where the fixing screws were, so its not quite a simple as first thought.
I'm gonna have to try and re-fabricate these areas so i can attach the splitter again.
Think i may do what you suggested...
Cheers for the suggestions, i've got myself some araldite, seems like the cheaper option and you'll never notice i dont think.
Drove ito a curb Timmay :-(
I've done a search but no joy.
Anyone had any experience repairing a carbon splitter, Its snapped in two.
Was thinking araldite or something like that, any proven methods??
Cheers
^Brilliant, thanks very much Mark.
Yeah lights do not come on permanently whilst driving, well they havent for a couple of months!
I just thought it was strange how none of the other lights came up.
Can someone please confirm the following:
When you start up you turn the key once which puts all the lights on, you wait till these have gone out then turn they key again to start. At this point the Serv and ESP lights flash - Is this normal (systems check)? Or is there something wrong with...
Daz, i've had the break pedal switch changed, some other switch in the steering column and another sensor somewhere. All of this was done prior to Renault doing a diagnostic. Once this had been done, it looked like a wiring fault which resulted in them taking the dash out. This was done and they...
Not sure if the above is particularly clear, bit of a rant!
Basically just want to know if the Serv light and any other light flashing up on start up is normal and can be described as a systems check.
I thought that if they flashed up it meant there is a potential problem and if they are on...
Hope someone can help.
I've had problems with the above lights flashing on start up and coming on permanently.
Its been in to Renault on numerous occasions, had sensors replaced etc, the latest of which was a complete dash out and wiring fault fix.
Apart from the fact the dash trim is...
-The rear plastic insert needs re-blacking, looks almost grey with so much black on the rest of the car.
You have to use your imagination with the plate eh!
I dont know what was said in the deleted post, but i thought this site was good in the way people often rallyed round if someone was selling dodgy goods or misrepresenting, like that tracked Trophy etc. Be a shame if moderators or whoever else were going against this.
