Thinking of selling the 182 for a 172 - opinions please

Personally i would be looking to get a Phase 1 172 if you enjoy the Renault Sport range. I think its a good compromise between comfort and raw driving, over and above you will have more cash in your sky-rocket over getting a Ph2 which tbh your only getting Xenon headlights above the Ph1...

My Renault debacle... (A really long read!)

Mild persuasion seems to be the only way to get anyone with and or associated with Renault to actually do anything. In spite of your issues the general consensus seems the 197's seem to be fairing up a little better than the 172/182's in terms of reliability. Well done for getting them to...

    Crashed :(

9/10 accidents from behind will involve insurance action (thus meaning your not putting your hand in your own pocket) f**k the mini, your okay and so is the other driver, accidents happen, we have all been there
  18. Poopensharten

    Crashed :(

Who cares what you hit, regardless if its a 360 Modena or a 1994 Escort, a crash is a crash thats what insurance is paid for

I would honestly rather a Phase 1 172. It may have all the gear, but it certainly doesnt have the idea

Do you feel the need to "prove" yourself in your Renaultsport?

I got drawn into battle a few times with my 172 if im honest but only when the conditions permitted (dry/dual carriage way/slip roads etc) But i always felt i was being antagonised into it by Mondeo/BMW's never really had a tussle with any other evenly matched hot hatches
