Forget noise and just aim to get as much cool air from outside the engine bay into your air filter (not easy on the Clio - hence why not many bother). To be honest, you're probably only loosing 1 or 2 bhp with what you've got.
Either swap it for the OE set up with a decent panel filter (it is good, but quiet),try to sheild it away from the heat in the engine bay and run some sort of tubing to it from the grille, arch or foglight to get some cooler air into it, or buy something like a Maxogen or V6 airbox.

Still not 100% happy with the...
Very shortly! Dry weather grip is fantastically good. I ran medium compound front and soft rear.
They don't come with much tread on them and therefore aquaplane very easily in standing water, damp should be ok though. Much happier with the RS2's as a compromise.
£108 from Camskill at the moment - I think that's a pretty good price to be honest!

Agree about the pressures though - not good.
The Skyline driver was a hindrance all day. His lines were shocking, the guy in the garage next to mine actually went out with him to show him the lines, but it didn't help. We also suggested tuition (only £25 on the day), but I got the impression that he felt that was beneath him!
