A guy across the road from me has asked for help with his laptop, and I'm not too sure what to do.
He has a whole load of music on his laptop that he's just transfered to an external hard drive to free up some space. He's currently using Windows Media Player to listen to them. What he wants is...
I think I saw one down to something like 750kg, although it had been built from a spare shell. If you can get it down to anything near that you wouldn't need to worry about and engine swap.
That said, Mk1 Focus RS engine has been done.
Edit - Well said Burp!
That is without doubt a fantastic idea, however I fear that at best the financial implications could be difficult to manage. I suppose I could live in an M5 though...
I don't see much wrong with any of these...

See, now that's the thing. I'm about the same age as you too, I know the Clio is a great car and can put a smile on my face on nearly every drive, but on the other hand I'm pretty sure a super saloon could do the same. I'm torn to be honest and it's a lot of work to put mine back to standard.
I love my car - I love it's fun factor and pace for relatively little money, but recently I've been having thoughts about changing it for something completely different.
I've been thinking about putting the car back to standard, selling it and the various parts from it (no PM's please, these...
Sorry mate, don't think I can agree with that! Hard standing starts put the most strain on clutch, gearbox and tyres. I do both though and not broken anything. Yet.
Lol! It's a car, a cheap car at that. I know it puts wear on the car, but in my opinion it's a better way of finding out how much real world pace your car has, much better than sticking your car on a rolling road to get a guestimated power figure you can boast about down the local.
My 182 cup...
I've not used the RC5's, but I currently have the DS2500's and they are the best road/track compromise pad that I've tried.
I've also used PF97's, standard Renault and Mintex 1177's in the past.
Is that net the only thing holding that wheel in place? If it is I wouldn't want to be you in a crash!
The the OP - strip it. It's the only way. And next time I'm near Leeds take me out in your car.
I was under the impression that the Sport Maxx's are used as the control tyre in the Dunlop Sport Maxx Production Cup. They should be excellent for trackday use!
I've tried stiffening the rear damping. For track work I had to have them on their hardest setting for it to feel near to how I liked it, but I would have gone stiffer if I could. On the road that's too stiff though.
The thing is I'm missing the B roads! The current suspension just isn't...
Right, courtesy of Powerstation I've got a rather odd combination of spring rates on my AST suspension. It's fine in the dry, but understeers heavily in damp/wet conditions. The current springs are:
Front = 170-60-70
Rear = 200-60-51
Which translates to:
Front = 399.574lbs
Rear =...
If you want to be sure, get a cheap 10mm spacer and test it. Just test for clearance - do not drive it on the road unless you buy longer wheel nuts, which for your needs isn't required.
