That's not good. Feel for you mate, hope you get it sorted soon. Did you get your hair cut?

    Help needed with bootlock

Only thing I'd say is that those torx bolts are larger than the ones fitted to mine, the internal catch looks the same though.

    Help needed with bootlock

More info. If you were looking at it from outside the car: The gold plate should have the upfolded wings nearest to the boot, so that the silver catch is nearest you. The black plate has a lip on it which should follow the line of the pannel it's being mounted to. The black plate is a U...

    Help needed with bootlock

Right. Order of fitment as far as I can see is: Gold plate (with silver catch in place) Black plate (should fit snugly over the two 'arms' on the gold plate) Washer (this might be part of the black plate though from the pic I just snapped) Torx bolt

    Help needed with bootlock

I've just had a look at mine, and I'm not quite sure what you mean. The unit on my 182 has a large black plastic body which is held in place by 3 nuts, the mounting points are in a triangular formation, so there's only one way it will fit. Unfortunately I can't upload a picture from work.

I think I prefer it with the tape, less need for constant tyre blacking. Need to see the whole car to be sure.

Advice when buying a 182 Cup??

Or... You could look at it from another point of view. Use the fact that it's a cup to knock off a few more quid, lose the fact you need to pay silly money to replace a xenon bulb if it blows, auto wipers/lights are just another thing to go wrong, they both have air con - not sure if the climate...

    It wouldn't. Cups don't.

    Steering wheel thumb pads?

182 Cup wheel is a cheaper version - same as the Dynamique I think. Lasts better than the Renaultsport version though!

Swap the fronts and rears around. It'll be fun. Don't blame me if you crash though.

    The Clamborghini 1400

I agree that can be reasonably accurate, but the one I used still knocked three quarters of a second off my true quarter mile time. Easy to fix too, just find a slope! Loving the car - one of the nicest non-sports I've seen! :approve:

Take the wing mirrors off and put duck tape over every panel gap and the front grille. I can't say that the car won't overheat, but you will see an extra 1mph.

    well.. i got 15.31 @ 90mph.. hmmm

My best run when mine was stock was a 15.077 with a 60ft of 2.337. My best 60ft on the day was 2.287, but only resulted in a 15.233 run. All my runs had a terminal speed of 90mph and I found that I ran into the limiter everytime crossing the finish line. It was a wickedly hot day when I ran...
