I'm sure they will be on the same lines I've just confirmed with google my car is chain driven they started making the engine with chains after 2005 when the new shape change happened (well to my shape). So it could well be he tensioner want a bit of tlc the bearings must wear quite...
Cheers Russ it could be it does sound quite rattley from that area of the car from the pulleys. Is it something to worry about I don't want them coming loose and flying off like my Clio did I had to chase my PAS pulley down the road!
I think so Dan but I couldn't tell you 100% mate as a friend...
Now I'm going to put it down to wear and tear as its done nearly 10k since buying it but when I first got the car it was quiet when the engine was on idle. Now it sounds slightly diesel ish on idle how do dealers make the engine sound quiet? Or would it be because I have a piper cross panel...
Should you run the engine for like 10 minutes first and check it whilst the engine is running? Or check it whilst the engine is cold and isn't running. Which is more accurate?
I used to play with 3DS Max I actually have a DVD you can have a copy of called UltiMax it's about 18 hours long of a guy teaching you every in and out of 3DS Max 8 (If I remember) whilst he builds a super gigantic robot, skins it and animates it. Cost me £30 a while back. I have had an interest...
I know you're shocked Jesus but read below.
I can only compare to the car I drove prior to this (my Clio) I've never had any other car as a daily sure I have driven some and been in some but since they where not dailies I have no real experience with them. Compared to my Clio this Astra is...
Great on economy
Really nice interior
Looks really nice
Drives well
Rather fun and nippy
Good boot space
For a 3 door spacious in the back
That's what I can think of right now.
Pah I don't let the Internet bother me I just read posts and see who is worth my reply who actually have something adult to say about things ;). Yes it's a very nice car and built with quality in mind it seems everything is so well made. So I'm happy that's all that matters.
Like I say I just...
Yes it's a 1.4 but at the end of the day a larger engine would cost more to run on petrol and insurance and I can't use it's potential on the public roads. Where as a 1.4 is nippy enough to get me through town driving (which is 80% of my driving ) and give me a decent mpg therefore easier on the...
I wanted to hear what it sounds like and left it on I see no problem.
I don't like the standard wheels they look crap unless they where pentas which they are not.
As for modifying like a 17 year old your entitled to your opinion I guess lol.
I don't see what's wrong with the Astra as a whole...
No no it is fine pretty much new I just wanted to hear what it would sound like with an exhaust or get a rough idea (since all ate different). It was a temporary fix its on cable ties on the hangers I just never could be bothered taking it back off.
Cheers spunksy.
Depends on the colour of the car and the colour you want to go. Paint them gloss black they would look factory fresh then and not ruin the appearance of the car IMHO.
