Re: my clio 172 winter project ( nearly finished )
Nice bit of work you've got done over the last couple of months :) Looks good. I do like the look of the white 2118s on the black :)
I thought they stopped making pe2's?
I know mate but I can't bare to do that! Selling it how it is would get me not a lot really, plus it needs tidying up as its now looking a bit tired, so the money that I will be putting into it, would not justify selling it imo.
Your not helping! Lol
Of course it would need tinkering a little but that's the fun of it. I'd need to get the bg sorted first though and the cost and selling price, I just don't think I can do it :( but there's no harm in looking ;)
Sorry to hear about this rob.
As many have said, the main thing is you both are ok.
I watched your thread many times and saw the work and time that went into it so its never nice to hear/see :(.
Thanks Fred :) I'm cup packed hubs so it'll be slightly more expensive. Your a tad fair from me (Essex) but its good to know your price just in case.
Is it worth changing the set or just the side that's dodgy?
Yeah I imaged you'd need to press in/out. I've seen people sell the hubs with new bearing for £80 but I'd still have to fit them.
How much does a garage charge? Also what are the prices for front bearings?
I've got a whining noise when I hit around 40mph and around 65mph. I had 2 people in the car at different times to see where the sound was coming from as I couldn't tell and they both said NSF. Having a look on here and I seem to be getting the same symptoms of a knackered front bearing.
How...
Can you not take a dremmel to the inner arch bracket and just cut it off. I bent mine up against itself but I did that with a hammer, which you don't want to use.
Also shame about the ban. Remember speaking to about it at css12 and thought by nice you might have gotten away with it. Lets hope...
Cheers Daniel. Ill give that a go in the morning as its a but too dark now. How comes they sit higher even though the ignition was off when they was removed and replaced?
I recently removed my wipers to take the front wing off. Unfortunately i didn't have the tools to remove the wing so I put the wipers back on but they don't seem to sit right now. For some reason they seem to sit higher up and slightly away from the scuttle panel. On full swing they still remain...
Neil at green light would beat that for sure. Drop him a pm on here as hes a trader. Im currently paying just under £450 fully comp, all singing and dancing, all mods declared, and im 27.
Haha, you can't give up the clios eh Danny?!
Id suggest using gtechniq's c4 to do all the plastics as they'll come up really good and saves you taking off all the plastics to spray them.
Check to see if the belts are due or done. That's the most common thing. It's worth taking it to a specialist when getting these done as there's so many pikey garages that think they know about these engines and actually don't. Where are you based?
Welcome and lovely RS btw :)
Re: 8th South Central / East: Surrey Rolling Road : £30! : Saturday 9th February 10am
Haha, I actually lol'd :)
Yeah I've put down a deposit for the bg and a workmates fiesta ST to go on there. Would be good to see what the 200 makes :)
