One is for extra load (XL) not really needed unless your owners handbook specifies it.
Normally they are used on heavier cars as they are able to stand a higher weight per tyre.
They usually have slightly stiffer side walls which can make ride a bit harsher and possibly make the steering...
I have been averaging 38mpg on my Cup going back and forwards to work. It is a 15 mile trip each way over a mixture of roads and due to the times I travel there is rarely any serious traffic.
When I owned my Fiat Coupe I bought a new LUK clutch from bypartsby.
When it arrived it was a Valeo Stamped clutch in an LUK box and about £70 cheaper than the "Valeo" one.
Thanks for the help everyone.
As the car is likely to be a keeper for a while I will most likely just bite the bullet and get them done.
I have seen standard dog bone mounts for £14 all in on ebay are those any good?
The power flex option does look tempting, but the last thing the car needs is...
It does a bit, not enough for the rubbers to touch though.
I haven't yet checked the mount on top of the gearbox, but I am planning on doing that soon.
I am getting the odd noise when changing gear at high revs, and the gearstick on the car does a bit of a forward/backward wobble when starting up and when lifting off the accelerator.
I have checked the dog bone mount under the car and it *looks* perfectly ok, I had a look at this and there are...
I think I am going to do it.
I am pretty sure it is a KTEC or KTR fitted as it looks the same as pictures I have found.
It is was in good used condition how much would it sell for?
I don't mind a bit louder than standard, as long as it doesn't drone whilst cruising or going up hills.
If I sell the stainless one I might even make some money to spend elsewhere on the car.
I have already removed a cone filter that came fitted with the car and replaced it with a...
Excellent. Does anyone know weare I can get a good standard cat back exhaust from? I have seen pattern ones on fleabay but I am dubious as to whethjer they are any good or not.
The cheapest one was £96 including delivery, but it is probably a load of crap. Lol
My car currently has what I think a K-Tec cat back stealth exhaust on it. It has two silencers after the cat.
To be honest I find the noise a bit loud and it drones whilst cruising along.
I am thinking of refitting a standard type system on there simply because I use the car every day for a...
I have a slight issue with my car. The engine management light comes on occasionally and I have trying to figure out what the problem is.
I have a U480 reader but the code I keep getting is NA 01/01 which basically means the reader won't recognise it.
Does anyone have any other suggestions for...
On my car someone has put a steel wheel in the boot for a spare. The wheel is a 13" and the tyre size 165/ 65 13
I was just wondering is this actually going to fit the car and clear the brakes?
The reason I ask is that the tyre is a Wanli  and has seen better much days. I want to replace...
If it is a Sportex it will be mild steel. I had one of their systems on my Mk4 Golf V5 and it lasted 14 months before the packing started coming out.
Buy a stainless one it will be cheaper in the long run.
It is the light which looks like the outline of the engine on the bottom right. When on it doesn't affect the way the car drives.
With regard to the twitchylness under acceleration. the roads around here are shockingly bad. I am wondering if that is anything to do with it?
Also I ahve just come...
I finally managed to get my 172 cup on the road today, and overall I am very pleased by the way it drives.
I do however have a couple of minor niggle.
The main one is that occasionally as I start the engine the "Toxic fume" monitoring light comes on. I have read the code with a generic reader...
I love Alfa's, I have had quite a few including GTV's 156's and 145's. They go really well but the standard suspension needs a bit of improvement.
Not keen on the Pearl Necklace white that they often get sold in though.
I certainly will. I should be getting it on the road at the beginning of next month, that way I won't loose any tax on the old car and I will get a full month on the Clio.
Anyone want to buy a BMW 528i E39 Manual? Lol
It was last serviced 2000 miles ago. That was 10 months ago though so i am going to do it. I am pretty handy working on cars so i am going to do it myself.
I am sure this has been asked before hundreds of times, but what grade of oil is best? 5w-30, 5w-40 etc?
The gearstick looks fine. Just the one broken thumb grip.
The cambelt was done last year bit for some reason they stuck the old aux belt back on. At least it is easy to change on non-aircon cars.
Are the thumb grips easy to get from here?
The wheel is a bit melted like many of the other ones I have seen, but nothing too serious. My dad had a similar problem with the full fat 182 he owned a few years back and he was able to clean it up.
I might be tempted to swap the seats for the half...
Yeah I was planning on keeping the exhaust.
It has a cone filter on there at the moment which sounds rather chavvy, plus my insurance company want extra if it is fitted so iI am going to get a standard airbox.
The tyres are nearly new. They are Cooper CS6, which are not brilliant but they could...
