I have been averaging 38mpg on my Cup going back and forwards to work. It is a 15 mile trip each way over a mixture of roads and due to the times I travel there is rarely any serious traffic.

When I owned my Fiat Coupe I bought a new LUK clutch from bypartsby. When it arrived it was a Valeo Stamped clutch in an LUK box and about £70 cheaper than the "Valeo" one.

The dog bone on ebay is £11 + Postage and is a genuine Renault. It doesn't look too difficult to change either.

Have you checked the oil level in the gearbox? Knowing what these cars are like for oil leaks I would say it is worth checking.

If it is a Sportex it will be mild steel. I had one of their systems on my Mk4 Golf V5 and it lasted 14 months before the packing started coming out. Buy a stainless one it will be cheaper in the long run.

I love Alfa's, I have had quite a few including GTV's 156's and 145's. They go really well but the standard suspension needs a bit of improvement. Not keen on the Pearl Necklace white that they often get sold in though.

It was last serviced 2000 miles ago. That was 10 months ago though so i am going to do it. I am pretty handy working on cars so i am going to do it myself. I am sure this has been asked before hundreds of times, but what grade of oil is best? 5w-30, 5w-40 etc?

The gearstick looks fine. Just the one broken thumb grip. The cambelt was done last year bit for some reason they stuck the old aux belt back on. At least it is easy to change on non-aircon cars.
