^ +1 on spraying onto a dry car, but wet still works ok too.
If you haven't bought it already, when buying Snow Foam I like the one with wax already in it as seems to leave a slightly slicker finish if your cars already waxed or sealed.
You will love it!
Can be hard if you use too much mate, just apply it as thin as possible. I apply is using a mf pad and spraying it onto that first so you can get it nice and thin. I prefer CG Blitz as it is a little easier to apply though and find the finish is a little clearer but horses for courses really!
Looks good but claying wearing out your arm...seriously?!? You shouldn't really be using much pressure at all mate, literally almost gliding over the surface. Which clay were you using out of interest?
I have the new Tocco and think it is a great little phone. Seems excellently made with a nice metal finish, good battery (averaging about 4 days with fair amount of use) decent 5mp camera (even has face detection), good web browsing, easy to text on, easy to browse on (Although not quite as...
Kind of been answered now already, but in response:
Not used R222 myself but if its like P21s then very easy to use, if not the easiest! It has poor durability though so if you are intending to use this I would use a sealant too as suggested.
Protection - from the big bad world! Mud, rain...
I think the established people already going make ok money but not going to get rich from this I shouldn't imagine, like people have said the insurance costs alone are massive, then you need decent advertising to get started (although word of mouth is the best and cheapest once you get going), a...
Not so sure it is definitely the paint - on demo cars which have decals on them for 6 months or so we used to remove them with tar and glue then polished them up using a relatively light compund and was fine. However your mates stickers may have been on for longer so may be slightly different...
Awesome cheers for this guys, hopefully will save the mechanic some time, and me some money with him looking around :D Will check the t hreads as suggested.
My car is 53 plate and 38k miles on it at the moment. One of if not the best condition 172 around though, a few people have said so but not that hard probably as most you see now are battered! Petrol is okish, says 33 mpg but not sure I believe it!
Looking forward to getting a company car so I...
Wax or sealant after SRP. The SRP will protect for 2-4 weeks depending on conditions, you could follow it with Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection from Halfords. You can also use a wax after it too if you want - Chemical Guys XXX Paste Wax is great for the money, about £12, or else the new P21s now...
Yeah mate, about a year ago I was a bit obsessive, spending pretty much a whole day a week on it - almost got to the point where I wasn't even driving the thing to keep it clean. Decided thats a bit sad so when I clean it I do a good job but just not as often at all.
I was also a student...
You can buy mine when I sell it if you want lol. Think it should last more than 2 days, I just don't have the time/ inclination to do mine so often now, once a fortnight at the moment.
^ That's what I will be doing later this week. Only roof and bonnet need it really but might as well do all of it. Shouldn't take too long. Michael, I did a similar detail last September, the thread is here:

Came up pretty well. Not going...
Possibly mate, I remember reading something in terms of break down time so may well be that but I will be working by PC so thats not really an issue, just wondering if the new formulation left a better finish at all, as the old one leaves a superb finish which would be hard to better.
How long is a piece of string?? Can't really give an exact answer, but when I have done my own Clio has taken me about an hour roughly for the paint, then about another 20 minutes or so for wheels and glass (which are also worth doing).
Never used water alone, I tend to use a mixture of warm...
Got the Tocco, very impressed with it to be honest, build quality is superb and touch screen is really good once you get used to it, even texting at speed now! Web browsing is good, as is music and camera. Only complaint is the lack of memory is comes with but you can buy SD cards really cheap...
Ah cheers for that Matt. My PW is only 110 bar so no advantage to me then really anyway. Thanks for the heads up though anyways! Still my favourite piece of kit I think!
What is the formulation of the old FF do you know Rich, as I have that one, is there much difference between the old and new formulations would you say except for working in times?
