Wax or sealant after SRP. The SRP will protect for 2-4 weeks depending on conditions, you could follow it with Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection from Halfords. You can also use a wax after it too if you want - Chemical Guys XXX Paste Wax is great for the money, about £12, or else the new P21s now called R222 which is about £20.

the polish and the sealant protects the surface like a fine layer of clear material. the dirt will stick on top of this and will not engrain in the paintwork as much. so then the next time you wash your car you will feel that the dirt comes off a lot easier and water will bead or sheet off as the surface is super slick and smooth.

Chuck some Autoglym Extra Gloss on it and you will get a good few months protection, a wax ontop of that may add a little in the looks department.

Kind of been answered now already, but in response:

Not used R222 myself but if its like P21s then very easy to use, if not the easiest! It has poor durability though so if you are intending to use this I would use a sealant too as suggested.

Protection - from the big bad world! Mud, rain, dead insects, UV rays...and can protect from brake dust build up on the wheels too. More protection the better in general!
