sounds like its typical snapped throttle cable. Part is around £15 and relatively easy to fit. took around 30mins.

nope the service light doesnt come on for oil low. The point with the cruise crontrol is that you dont get the Oil display light on the dash as it says "Set--"

Darren, I was very sceptical about the trophy at first and didnt really want to like it. I personally feel it is a worthy upgrade. I love driving the trophy and it does have some significant improvements over the FF. Getting a mint one shouldnt be too much of problem, although a bit of patience...
