You will be fine using a heat gun as long as you aren't full on stupidly sitting it on the panel burning the paint.

Just measured and cut the sides, didn't bother about the top and bottom as I've got writing on the bottom and it would look silly only cutting the top.

Sportlines won't lower any Clio anything close to 45mm mate. About 30-35 at the most.
