dont bother, buy the car that has the engine OE, i put a gtt in my mk1 clio and although i was really happy with it, i had major major insurance issues which have put me off doing something similar again for life
easiest one is to remove the p/side fog light, route it down there, hill power do a scoop that fits in place of the fog, give him a bell

yea, if you can use a Renault one, they have now replaced the ones that always go faulty with a better one, once you fit those you shouldnt have a problem
its not just foam filters that are 'rumoured' to cause problems with air flow sensors
the vast majority of F1 cars use cotton gauze filters made by BMC
not sure on the likes of WRC lately, though most used to use foam
just got a new PC, and a lot of the time the hard drive is churning away
im wondering if this is the restore feature in windows doing back ups all the time, it doesnt seem to slow anything down but its really annoying

coolant temp sensor is a very common problem, genuine one from Renault is about £9, worth a go, if it isnt causing your problem its probably buggered anyway lol
if you leave the car to idle does it start to 'chug' after idling fine for about 30 seconds, if it does its probably the lambda sensor
cotton ones give the best flow when new, slightly, but foam filters have longer service life whilst still giving a good flow rate, its because the filter media is simply a lot deeper than cotton gauze
must have been mate, but the 6 months insurance is pretty decent as i always have it anyway so thats saved me money, and i much prefer the service from Orange
