engine not running right, coil spring?

Today my engine started running lumpy, as if it was kind of misfiring, accelerates alot slower. This happened last year, a year ago yesterday which is very weird!..i know this because it was a mates birthday.

it does exactly the same as last time, except the lambda sensor light hasnt come on this time! last time it was 2 coil springs, are these springs that sit above the valves? its a 1.4 16v btw.

i think i will ring up and book it in to the same garage as last time tomorrow. Has anyone got any experience with this problem? hopefully should be ok to drive for a few days before i can get it fixed

You mean coil pack I assume? Unburnt petrol can kill the cat but it should be all covered under warrenty.

well last time the guy said it was 2 coil springs, which i think he said was above the spark plug?? i dont know! lol

yea, if you can use a Renault one, they have now replaced the ones that always go faulty with a better one, once you fit those you shouldnt have a problem

The renault ones are hugely expensive from renault themselves. Just rang up for prices and for two ignition coils for my 1.6 they wanted £73.68!

F**king sh*t the bed!

i remember last time the garage said they were nearly £50 for two. cars booked in for next week, had to drive it today but going to try and not drive it again due to the unburnt petrol going through. the lambda sensor has come on, but they said that should turn itself off when its fixed, as long as i dont drive it alot
