Yeah bloody RM sucks!
All the CG guys products I own are really good, the 50/50 is excellent - you will be very pleased with the results. Sadly I am nearly man down in my pot so time to buy some more... might try the Onyx next time with the student loan on its way ;) (I am of course joking...
I thought the AGT leaves a very wet finish but the Blitz brought out the flake more. This could just be because most times I have used it its been on sunnier days but just my impression of it, love both of them though. EGP has had its day! :)
What did you go for in the end?
If its from Car Wash N Wax then I have always had great service from there. Like the man says though, all places supplying detailing products seem very quick with processing orders, well the ones I have used anyway. If only Amazon were as good...
I haven't actually got the Jeffs caranuba, just the acrylic. I was going to get it but decided to excercise some self constraint and use up some other sealants first! ;)
I really like the Blitz and Jeffs acrylic though, but as I said for me the Blitz looks a lot better when working with a...
I think the Blitz works better with a caranuba wax looks wise compared to the Jeffs, but yes the Jeffs has better protection.
The Blitz seems to bring the flake out better and leave a clearer finish to the paint IMO.
NOT GOOD - the PC is heavy enough!
Yeah 182-Blue helped me in purchasing mine, very helpfull. Will also give you links to which transformer, plug and extension you will need.
Well the UDM isn't the PC (Porter Cable)... so if you want a PC specifically then no!
It is pretty much the same thing though, although never seen or used on myself.
Mixed responses on the UDM so far, not sure who here has one yet?
I could always wet sand it lol
Given up for the day, could not do the roof due to no shade!
I have always wondered what a CS might look like with a better quality paint... that would be the ultimate in analness getting that done... but the black Porsche uses is amazing, much better definition...
It's very hard to remove 100% of defects, the last 10% is often a b**ch. Chances are that even if they seem faint but a few passes won't remove them then they are deeper than you think, and removing them fully will remove too much clearcoat, so you will be better off leaving them.
Try using a...
A PC or orbital polisher... a range of polishes such as Menzerna or Poorboys...some buffing pads...shampoo...buckets...drying towels....microfibre towels...clay...finishing polish such as AG SRP....a glaze and/ or sealant and/or decent wax... and a whole lot of skill, effort and good old...
I've got a big bbq on Sunday and sad as it sounds I wouldn't be happy driving there with the car looking dirty...
My plan for this weekend is:
Good wash
Clay with Sonus green
Seal with CG Body Blitz
Wax with 50/50
Then dress all plastics again (seems like I am forever doing this in this rain...
Its all about glazes these days...
Wish I could do the same with mine, but with all this rain and going back to uni soon I am going to be applying the heavy duty protection after the PC. Ghey!
Hoping to do mine tomorrow if the weather holds out :S
Maybe not as easy though as importing one to the US...
Not sure if any of you have been fortunate enough to see one yet or not but wait until you see the E92 M3. It will depress you when you see it because its not yours...;)
Nice photos! Not sure if its the photos but I would say the Clearkote looks best out of all of those Rich...
Mine is a state on the outside at the moment, need to give it some loving (not like that..:o)
They have used some of the worst names for these waxes. What sounds cooler: Swisswax Onyx or Dodo Juice Banana Armour?!? I rest my case... I mean, case closed!
