unfortunatly its just another one in the long line of Clio vandelism that we see on here.
You could always get a whaletail fitted, park it in the same carpark and wait in a dark corner with a baseball bat ? not that I would condone such action.

an interesting thing I thought this morning, Nevs car has only got 7500 miles on it...
Took about 15,000 miles before I felt my 172 was loosend up.. that might produce a bit more a few months down the line ! :D
Also had a couple 1.2s as courtesy cars, I was rather impressed with the thing, I had low expectations to begin with though.
They are actually very chuckable, and if you boot it everywhere it is rather nippy.. as said before it just doesnt have that ooomph that you expect from the 172.. and...
Have to say, ive owned 2 205GTis and they were the best handling cars ive ever drivin.. I would kill my 172 round a track in my old 205GTi, seriously !
I understand what your trying to do, but I personally laugh at Clios with a Sport badge under the Renault badge.. why not stick a ferrari badge on it and be done ?
Deffinatly improve your car, make it look better etc.. but trying to make it out as being something its not ??
Just my...

Yep its back out the garage, was the offside wheel bearing.. took it for a test drive up the motorway, totally gone now.

Maybe Im right, maybe Im not.Just going off my experience. Are you sure its not noises in your head?My mam always tells me that what my noise are when I say can ye hear that? or shell say just ignore it!
LOL, at first I though so...
Ive been bored all day today lol, so was out cleaning the car for 3 hours. Just about to pick Gems up from work and head up to my mates though.
Fancy going to see hostage on Sun ?
Okay, CV boots are deffinatly not split or loose, seems to be a bit of play in the offside wheel (in comparison to the nearside) so it looks like Chris was right, will let ya know if the mechanic agrees with you though ;)
Cheers for your help folks..
I did a quick visual inspection on the CV boots a couple days back and they didnt look split/no leaking grease etc.
I will go down just now and have a proper look at the CV joints just to make sure. I will give the jacking the car and wiggling the wheel a go too. Will let you know what I find.
Ah, you sound pretty confident with that diagnosis ;) which side would it be that needed replaced.. the obvious answer would be the right one I know ,
Also, any idea on costs ?
My 172 is going into the garage in a few days but I just thought I would ask all you mechanically minded people what you think the problem is ?
I get a low droning noise when doing 40mph+. At first it was really faint now even my passengers can hear it. It only happens when I turn the...

Mine (granted a 172 not 182) wasnt very composed when the tail end decided to try and overtake me on a roundabout at about 20mph :S
Think there was oil on the r/about though ;)
