Ah, okay. As pete just said, they didnt bother to laquer the bump strips on the Cup. Only renault know why they decided to do this, but I have a suspicion its got to do with ££ and the fact they were trying to chuck out a cheapo version of the 172 by saving costs where ever possible.

Thats pretty reasonable seeing as the standard renault jobs (ie pieces of crap) are £120, and you dont get a boot mat with that.

You also need the charge packs aswell, and the auto level motors and some other stuff..if you bought the parts from renault your looking at about £1000-1500 [Edited by KDF on 5/12/2005 5:54:13 PM]

I gave some lessons to my GF drive in my 172, is a suprisingly easy car to learn to drive if you keep it below 4krpm.

No probs, That was for my mk2 172, but I believe the prices should be the same. Deffinatly shop around as prices do vary.

If you cant find it you will need to take your car down to a renault garage with proof of ownership. They never ever charged me but I think they normally charge about £30

I find reving the engine to 7000rpm and honking the horn gets them moving a bit quicker..:p
