Ive raced a few saxos up the strip.. could barley see them in my rear view when I passed the line.
Dont get me wrong the saxos are nippy, but in my experience they werent even in the same league. I even raced one up the strip and forgot to turn off the aircon, still pasted it lol
Hate to say this, but didnt you ask before you put it in for a service ? you are allowed to choose where you get your car serviced (competition and all that )

Ive always had a soft spot for Clios ever since my mum went to a Renault garage to buy a 5 Campus and I set eyes on a Willy 1. Since then, the 172 and Cup have caught my eye. Like its mentioned above, pound for pound I dont think...
The steering wheel is too far away, or the pedal are too close, thats my main grip.. I agree the seat needs to be lower a bit aswell and it needs to have better thigh support.
Is it not about 1500rpm that VVT kicks in ? the kick at 4.5kprm is just it comming on cam.
IIRC the VVT in the 172/182 is this most basic form of VVT and not really worth mentioning.
My Garmin GPS reciever worked fine whether it was behind the reflective part of the screen or the non reflective part.
Remember on a cold boot it can take up to 5 minutes to find all the satalites and get a proper lock.
Not really had too many problems with Renault Sighthill, overall the staff have been curteous (sp ?) with the only real problem being after I got my car back from having some work done my fog light surround was hanging out and about to fall off.
heh, same thing on a roundabout not long ago, doing about 20mph round a roundabout and the front end just starts sliding out big styleee.. ease off the throttle and the back end came out, car ended up pointing towards the roundabout but I caught it and straightend her up again.. brown trowser...
Yes they are not perfect... try not to get wax when washing the car onto the windscreen as that can muck it up a bit.
I find I rarely have to intervene when its set to either the highest sensitivy or just below highest.
My bill from renault was £160 for the 12K service.. which I thought was shockingly expensive for what they did.
Course, I had to spend about 30 minutes on the phone convincing the woman in their service department that my actually needed serviced at 12k miles and not 18k
"Ooooh ive never...
ok was out washing the car, afterwards took it for a spin and this light came on :(

After that it went into get-you-home mode.. whereby it would only rev to 3000rpm... tried turning the engine off and back on again but...
