its not perceived value...........its the easiest wax to use you could ever use and the finish it gives is VERY good
i use the Zymol Carbon Wax on mine.........needs doing again actually to be honest havent done it in a while....

sorry but your talking sh*te there mate, every time ive been into a Halfords they dont know even half of what i know, they talk b****cks or give you a blank expression, yes i know there are a few good lads who work for Halfords who DO know there stuff, but saying that your staff know more about...
normal polish has a cutting agent in it.......
best to try the lightest first however on an older car the finish is rarely perfect so you will probably end up using t-cut anywayz...or something similar such as auto glym paint restorer....
then apply a good wax.......or a very good polish...

when slightly/normally accelerating my car is fine, however when i let off the pedal it goes to the right slightly.......and when i brake it goes to the right even more, at say 70mph or more then its quite dangerous the amount it pulls to the right when braking....
