Im being swayed towards 3/8 based on most peoples reviews. I really want the long reach too, but not sure if i can justify the extra price.
Thanks for your input, make that 1 vote for 3/8 long
Help me decide which cordless ratchet to buy
ive been looking a the 3/8 fuel high speed version
but then i saw the long reach versions and the 1/4 versions and now im stuck with 4 of the things in my basket with no idea which i actually need.
Will be used for general car work, (calipers, engine...
Hopefully someone can help me either find the correct part, or at least the right part number.
Ive got a Clio MK3 2.0 NON-SPORT, it needs a new alternator pretty soon. Its a 120A Bosch unit currently but i cannot find one the same anywhere. Ive seen that some of the 197's use the 120 A units but...
Im looking at a new jack right now. I need it to be able to lift a range rover sport, only one corner at a time realisticly. Been looking at the 3 tonne halfords advanced one, but the weight of it puts me off a tad as id have to carry it a fair distance to use it
Any better recommendations for...
I need some help finding parts again.
Looked under my car today before it goes for its MOT and found a snapped spring. Ive ordered 2 new ones and ive also sourced 2 new rubber mounts for the top as mine are shot to pieces. I cant seem to find any of the rubber bits that go on the bottom of the...
I had a 1.5 dci Mk3. It had an issue with injection system. Occasionally got the dash warning light flash up but went away. Few months later and it was really hard to start, kept getting worse and eventually wouldn't start without easy start.
I tried everything, replaced all 4 injectors, fuel...
Anyone bought or tried out the Kranzle Ventos 32 ?
Im so tempted, i dont need it but i really want it
Im yet to see anyone test it out against any other vacs so i have no idea if its actually any good
I dont measure out exactly 1 litre, "i use about 1 litre in a 6 litre pump sprayer"
I know i will get the dilution police on my case complaining about using efficient amounts of products otherwise :)
i use about 1 litre in a 6 litre pump sprayer. Ive found the key with surfex is to actually let it dwell, just spraying it on and then rinsing doesn't work well. It also seems to work better if you mist the car with water first just to dampen the surface, i find it helps stop it drying so fast...
Massively depends on the size of the car, level of paint correction required, ceramic coating chosen etc...
Id be surprised if you can find anyone decent that will do a single stage correction and coat for under £300. And that's assuming its on a small car like a Clio in decent nick bar a few...
yeah i do all the time. I find its best to apply it dry on the discs first thing. Then let it dry a bit while you set up buckets etc. otherwise you just rinse it off straight away with the jet wash. It doesnt totally stop them rusting but it does help keep the worst off like when using auto...
This might help. The fuse box is what is called the UPC. Just a fuse and relay board. Think its got a few tx20 screws holding the cover. Worth checking. The seals on them are made of foamy rubber that eventually lets go and lets water in. Any water overflowing from the scuttle could easily find...
The only other thing worth checking that i know is common and causes issues is the fuse board near the battery. Think its called the UPC. Full of fuses and relays. Had one relay on mine burn out and melt the enclosure which meant the headlights wouldn't turn off. Just worth a check before...
It might not be much help but i had a similar experience, although not as bad it seems.
Girlfriends car wipers stopped working one day, figured out that the scuttle drains were full of water and the passengers footwell was totally flooded. Spent the day swapping the wiper motor out and ripping...
Focal. Ive got them all round in mine and they are awesome. The clarity at higher volumes is what you notice the most. No funny distortion like you get with stock ones. I would really recommend some sound deadening behind them while you are at it. Stick some dynamat on the inside of the panel to...
Must just be worn out then. They have some kind of ratchet style mechanism in them and i think the teeth just wear down and no longer hold. Just replace it with a genuine renault one and it should be fine.
It sounds like you are talking about the clutch pedal switch. I had the same issue with the brake pedal switch. The non genuine ones dont seem to be strong enough. I went through 3 returns of the euro parts ones before buying a genuine renault one off ebay. Solved the problem straight away...
Ill try using a shorter pile next time then. Wondered if it was just the long pile ones i was using rather than long pile in general.
Everyone loves Jim, if he uses it, ive bought it :)
Have you found any towels that work best with RD ? ive found that some of the thicker ones become a bit grabby and start leaving some streaking for some reason. Im wondering if a shorter pile might help
Anyone used the sgs compressors ?
My old 24 litre one is dead, but I'm trying to convince myself I need the 50 litre. I use it mostly with blow guns for detailing car interiors, blowing out switches and between seats etc.
But i just cant bring myself to spend the extra 40 quid to get the 50...
I can see you tried to keep things tidy with the cable reel holder and the parts bins. But then all the organisation goes out the window below the desk. As you scroll down the picture is slowly gets worse :)
Pretty sure that's how most workbenches end up after 2 weeks anyway
Ive got one the same style as the top link and its been a life saver. I use it for all my electronics parts at my desk. Crimps, resistors, leds, etc..
I also have a few magnetic tool rails that i really recommend for people working with electronics. Keeps tools within reach without being spread...
According to a few big names in detailing, you are better off using watered down p*ss before buying anything from EZ. Ive also seen hundreds of bad reviews about their customer service and stupidly long delivery.
Not sure 'nice' would be my word of choice. Its certainly one of the better smelling fallout removers out there. Compared to warm dog s**t is smells lovely i agree
I wouldn't bother personally. They do work but you have to use loads of product. Must be heavily diluted. For the amount you have to use, its more cost effective to buy a decent product.
And they smell awful.
Buy Bilt Hamber and be done with it
Still not got to the bottom of it. Found that the rear disks have a rusty lip on them which seams to be causing a fair amount of noise, so im guessing its related to that
