Long and short of it ... No. In fact it seems to have made things worse if anything. Seems that my issue is more serious than i thought.
Anybody got any idea why a mk3 dci would be shaking itself to death. Don't think its engine mounts. Someone on here must know more about these injection...
I had the exact same. I started mine on easy start every day for at least 6 months because i couldn't afford a new injector. I bet i can open a Clio bonnet faster than anybody else can one handed in the dark after all that time. :)
I have the opposite, ive got low fuel rail pressure which i...
It will make itself very obvious if one is worse than the others. Do you have trouble starting and do you get an injection fault warning if you put your foot down too much?
If you are going to have a go yourself be aware its likely to just go wrong. Not anything against your work but they are very sensitive. I've spent the past year chasing issues with dci injectors and have had nothing but grief. I would just go on ebay and search for either 'diesel doctor London'...
I would suggest the relay. Had the same issue but with my headlights. The relay had burnt out for some reason and i ended up replacing the entire fuse board.
I was intending to get them done but got put off spending more money by the noise. Any recommendations for coding or do i just take it to Renault and let them pull my pants down for 10 mins work :(
I haven't coded them yet. i was planning on doing that. I did wonder if that was why it was making a strange noise. Its sort of high pitched, but not overly. Its literally for 1 second max from the time i let off the throttle. Its also slow to start if its been left for a while. Its fine if its...
Ive just replaced all 4 of my injectors in my 56 plate dci mk3 because 2 were leaking back badly and causing starting issues. So while i was at it i did the other 2 for safe measure. However, when i rev the engine and allow it to return to idle i hear a strange almost beeping sound coming from...
Thanks for the replies
I didnt realise it was a very high power amp to be honest. I want a 4 channel amp and it was in my price bracket so i just assumed it would be or average power. I quit man looking and had a proper look and found something much more suitable i think.
You seem to know a bit...
I'm in need of some help figuring out what gauge cable i'm going to need to power the amplifier i intend to buy.
I was looking at this one because its the right price range for me.
I also have a active sub box already installed using 8 awg cable.
I don't know whether to run another cable from...
When i pulled the relay out the whole thing shattered and was rusted really badly inside which i'm assuming is the cause of the problem.
Its got factory fitted projectors with some Philips upgrade bulbs but nothing major. Right pain in the backside to be honest. Gotta love Renault electronics
In all seriousness does anybody have any idea about why this has happened. I'm worried that something might still be pulling some serious current even while the car is off. Why would something just burn out and melt plastic like that.
Will it not just happen again straight away with the new...
Right, ive done that. Had to remove the entire fuse board to pull the relay out with a massive pair of pliers. I'm assuming i just buy another relay now and shove it in there and give it a good thump with a hammer until the whole board smashes to pieces. Then i just swear a few times before...
Ive read countless threads online about possible solutions to this but all of them seem to lead to the Mk2. I have a mk3 dci and the dipped beams stay on even when the switch is off and the ignition is off and key out. I stupidly spent the money for a new column switch only to realize i was...
From the research i did i found that the reason it wont start if its a leak back issue on the injectors is because the injectors cannot build enough pressure because they just leak back to the pump. It just keeps going back to the pump rather than pressurizing. Once the injector stops leaking...
I had the same issue with a clio 1.5 dci. Search hard on ebay and try and find an injector where the code sort of matches the existing one. I did the same and didnt bother coding. The coding only really effects the trim that the ecu does to adjust fuel delivery amounts. Ive spent hours reading...
I had a very similar issue with the check injection thing when driven hard. it turned out to be injector based. First of all, one seal was leaking causing loads of black soot and gunge to appear around injector. After i sorted that it was injector 2 itself was knackered. Replaced it and its...
I'm pretty sure its H1 bulbs you need. H7 is for the fogs (which you don't have) and the main beam. Im pretty sure dipped beam is H1 bulbs.
You can probably do it during lunch but it wont be easy. Getting to the bolts behind the arch liner can be pretty hard without taking out the liner. And the...
Now that makes more mental more tempting. What automobile did that 'fall out of' ??
Whilst im at it i might as well ask, dont suppose you have a sorta cheat sheet of suspension geometry for those kinda buggys do you. Ive seen one before and it had a load of ideal angles. A bit like with go karts...
I love it mate. It looks mental. Ive been thinking about doing something similar for a while. Was thinking of something a bit more scaled down though, maybe a bit less ... mental :)
I was reading through a thread a few weeks back about a crazy dude who has made his own rally buggy sorta thing. Im looking at doing something similar and im in need of inspiration. Anybody remember where the thread was. I cant find it for the life of me. If it helps i remember the thing was red...
Yeah the app directs you to a page with a load of info about the code. Or you can just look it up on the old Google. You don't actually get the CD it shows in the image. No idea why. But it works and for 4.99 it does what most people need. Cheaper than going to a garage and paying 50 quid for...

For 4.99 it works perfectly well with the Torque app. Connects straight away. Cant argue with it for the price. Plus it was delivered...
I've got a Mk3 1.5 dci pre-facelift. Its a dynamique , not an S tho. I prefer the look of the S and was wondering what actual differences there are between them. i know the s has better looking wheels. I also noticed that they run discs on the back. Anybody know how hard it would be to convert...
