You shouldve saved your pennies and got your self a set of METAL MONKEY stainless steel dials and fitted blue LEDs.
Ive done it with mine and it looks the bollox :D
Yeah Ive fitted them to my car a while ago.
The only difference is that when you put the Lockwood dials on, youll have to trim some of the new dial because of the plastic pins that stick up.
If it was on the wiper arm, the chances are that its been replaced at some time, and the owner used one from a renault 19 16v.
The button alters the display on the dash board for temp/averagempg/odometer.
I think
Yeah, it can be done.
I know because thats how low my car is, -60mm at the front and -70mm at the rear. Im running 205/40/17 tyres with very little catching, it only rubs on full lock.
Any body know any good insurance companies ?
Mines due for renewall next month, but I want it as cheap as possible.
I also have a DD40 conviction code on my licence.
Im currently paying £600 fully comp, with the AA
The colour code is 719, its carmen red.
I had to buy a can acouple of weeks ago, but in the shop the colour of the can looks a lot darker than the car.
I spayed my quad headlights, and the colour was a perfect match.
Make sure you use red primer or the colourll look diferent.
Have a look to see what colour the plastic at the back of the dials is, if its clear and you have "Sagem" dials you could get in touch with http://www.metal-monkey.co.ukhttp://www.metal-monkey.co.uk They do stainless steel dials with what ever coloured numbers you want.
I got their proto type...
The indicators just stick out from the front of the bumper, so you can see them from the side of my car.
Theyre a 23watt bulb in them so should give a bit more light than standard.
If the old bill pulled me for the indicators being too low,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, then I dont...
Yeah, unfortunatly you do need front indicators. The best thing to do is to find some nice small motor bike indicators to hide on the front bumper. I got some "dinki-winkas" indicators from my local bike showroom.
Theyd be a nasty brown colour, because the colour of th eplstic that lockwood use on their dials is orange.
Ive just got a set of metal monkey stainless steel dials for my 16v ( the proto-type :D ), with white MPH and red KPH. I was lucky in the fact that the plastic at th eback of my dials...
Its official, Ive got the very first set of stainless steel dials for the clio 16v from http://www.metal-monkey.co.ukhttp://www.metal-monkey.co.uk.
Luckily for me the backs of my dials are clear plastic and not orange, so I got white numbers whichll show up blue when I get my blue led bulbs...
I paid £295 from Larkspeed, and theyre really easy to fit, the hardest part was re-positioning the indicators and what type to fit (the ones that you get with the headlights are crap.
