Engine Mounts.

...Yep, another problem. On my way home from work i went over a speed bump at low speed and i heard a clunk. Then the dashboard started rattling loads when the engine reved. And generaly made a horrible noise. Pulled over and had a look, the metal bracket underneath the battery was very loose. The engine also looked tilted slightly. Ive presumed it was the engine mount as i dont know much about cars. Am i right? How much is it to be fixed? Stupid Fing cing fing cars cost me more than i bought it for already. And im sorry if this doesnt make much sence, I thought the best thing to do when this happened waz get pisst, so been to the pub....

Sounds like the engine mount on the gearbox side, that happened to my car.

Cost me about £150 from Renault fitted.

yea mines f**ked too along with the back engine mount! its getting fixed at the moment well at least i know its new and wont break again anytime soon!

Join the club mine is F*ucked aswell. Managed to get a new gearboxs housing for £200

I had snapped the bolts (So half was still in) tried to fix it the cheapo way but that failed

In the process of stripping the car to put new housing in!

I think im going to strip my valver soon. Not point selling it as i have spent far to much on repairing and maintaining. I want to strip it down of all its excess bits(dash, seats, spair, etc) and drop willy bottem end, and perhaps a 6 point roll cage, couple of racing seats. Whos done this sort of work? Is it worth it?

Yeh mate thats what Im going to do Im going to get that stainless steal rollcage from K-Tec
