    ED Low boost conversion advice

@SteveC_1879 cheers for that. I've got a meg (r26) engine in the Twingo and wouldn't mind pushing it some more but am very much in favour of the parts bin over fully forging it, I really don't need to build a 450/500bhp capable block to take 320ish safely. I will look into it some more, thanks

bit of a hijack, but what's needed to fit the 250 rods and pistons?

    Adeys F4RT Twingo GT

Managed to get the car back on the ramps for re alignment and measuring of the rear axle changes since fitting a new front CV boot and shimming everything up on the beam. The rear end after the info from Nick at Pure Motorsport is very close to parallel now! the front has been dialled in with a...

    ED Low boost conversion advice

Yes. don't take it as a common issue though. My car was a development mule for testing/mapping. Had 100+k of very hard miles on it, sure it had 18 owners too. I actually had a big fuel leak and ran it lean causing the issue.

ill try and find them, in my head it was on the Dekker Motorsport Facebook page

    Megclio conversion

If you came across the engine and gearbox cheap enough you could give it ago but I think the mk4 is possibly a completely different platform car, where as the earlier 2.0ltr f4r based engines are a direct bolt in affair. I have seen a mk4 clio 1.6T swapped into a clio mk3 though so might be...

    Turbo conversion - clutch slipping

cold weather giving you a few extra ponies I bet :D pushing it to the limit. I'm sure others will chime in, I put mine together the way I did to keep it as road friendly as possible, I really didn't want an on/off switch for a clutch

    Turbo conversion - clutch slipping

Borderline on the grip of a stock clutch by the looks of it. Id look at something slightly grippier that retains a stock cover to keep the feel as "normal" as possible. I run a CG motorsport dual friction plate with a stock cover (though a twingo rs133 item as hydraulic but same size as a 172)...

    ED Low boost conversion advice

its the torque that's an issue more than horsepower, most low boost are 220 to 240lbft so a mildly uprated clutch would be fine. I ran my turbo motor at 120k with what I assumed was an original clutch in it.

    Adeys F4RT Twingo GT

Not really much to report, finally got some new decent (depending on who you speak too) rubber, went with the NS2-R in a 195/45r16. I had them fitted yesterday and today was properly bloody cold so I didn't get out and try the tyres out. I want to remove the rear springs and drop the car down to...

    Adeys F4RT Twingo GT

Decided to space out the front wings Kanjo Racer style, pretty common to do on mx5's and civics. This gives me a little more space for the wide track conversion. May look to space the front of the wing also at the bumper mounting point. Done quite easily by adding an 18mm spacer to the mounting...

I should really spend some time getting some proper footage for these vids. Though I currently tend to pop out and work on it 15-20min at a time so it gets difficult.

Twingo RS seats in a 1*2

Kind of, front is near enough the same, rear is near enough the same, middle (where the seats are) isn't. Twingo is 4 inches shorter between the wheels than a Clio mk2

Twingo RS seats in a 1*2

No they don't fit, as in they don't just drop in.

    Adeys F4RT Twingo GT

Exactly that (y) well the first time I didn't actually attach anything to the email because I'm some sort of technologically retarded jeb end. But yes a little advice and the shims needed to bring it back in somewhere close. Not set for a full race car but squared up even. Will definitely be a...

I just have to say about the amazing customer service received from Nick at Pure Motorsport. I'm not a returning customer or anything but fired off an email regarding my rear alignment, he must of emailed me back about 5 times yesterday (y) Absolutely amazing service to average joe. Shims...

I didn't think so tbh. I've not crashed it yet lol doesn't throw me off down the road or mid corner or anything. I did post in my bent beam thread but will post here. After some Google foo it seems its common for Clio ones to be all over the place with camber and toe.

Rear beam alignment, how far out is too far?

I googled Clio 172 rear toe alignment and saved the pics I came up with, all from here on cliosport. Looks like they car really be all over the place to be fair

    Adeys F4RT Twingo GT

Nothing visible, been like that for years to be fair and if it is its in the beam itself as I've now swapped the stub axles. Its only because I'm trying to get everything sorted properly that I want to shim it up. I wouldn't even say it it handles "off" or anything tbh

    Supercharged 182

not sure what you mean lol, I will say/note, though the engine was fine, I totally destroyed a gearbox at Combe, a set of supercharger brackets at Mallory and the supercharger itself after a day at Oulton 🤦‍♂️

    Supercharged 182

I used to run 280bhp Supercharged daily on my ph1. Didn't blow up 😁 had nearly 100k on it when I did it too.

Rear beam alignment, how far out is too far?

So ive had the Twingo's front end aligned and pointing in the right direction, the rear on the other hand requires some shims. It's always been this way even before I swapped the stub axles but it's never been an issue. With getting everything pucker I wanted to get it set properly. Is this too...

    Adeys F4RT Twingo GT

WOW I'm very very surprised at the difference the suspension swap has made. Considering at a basic level I've only made my car about 10mm wider at every corner than it was as I was already on spacers, the change in angles and the rear arb has made a huge difference in feel. I've had it aligned...
