    Ouch cam and follower eaten.

Cheers Michael, the follower was still in place... I wondered if the case hardening had broken down on the roller and taken the cam with it.

    Ouch cam and follower eaten.

Only one lobe and follower have been affected......customer had a light ticking noise:S. Doesn't look as though its run low on oil. Anyone else had the same?

I think pms use tubular lower arms.....? Rose joints are a brand name, they are using spherical bearings for location/pickup points. We had had what resembles bamboo sticks on a near 200mph gt car suspension years ago......they look alright, so long as correct materials are used, i.e. CDS tubing.

Yoko parada spec 2 ? any good

I liked them when they first came out (I was getting them for £26 +vat at the time though). I have done a full season of sprints/hillcllimbs and everyday road miles in between and found them a good all rounder.

182 top end tickng noise, any suggestions

A solenoid on top of the canister, there is a little 2 pin plug going into it, disconnect it and see if the ticking stops.

182 top end tickng noise, any suggestions

I have a clio here at the moment with a ticking noise, its worn the cam lobes in a strange way. About .5 mm deep on the base circle has worn away. I'll pop,a pic up later of how I saw it looking into the oil filler/rocker.

Strange parts found on PH1 172.....

Believe it or not, it's description is 'fixing bracket' hehe! I'm not a cliosport specialist for nothing you know...?!?:rasp: part number 7700310436. I kept my nearside bracket and deflector on the race car to stop stones flying around near the aux belt when going into the kitty litter....:S

They would have held on some little deflectors that go around the driveshafts. I'll post a pic tomorrow if you like?

LSD choices for Clio 172 Cup

Gripper is a locking diff. You can spec up the ramp angles for how you want it to act. Will only need maintenance if used hard, needs an additive or specific oils, in some cars you have to shorten the nearside drive shaft (we had to knock 25mm of our Renault 5 gtt ones). the gripper will need re...
