This is the dark side of self-building a PC, troubleshooting is an enormous pain in the arse when it all goes wrong.
I remember saying never again many years back when I just couldn't get a damn machine working and it was due to some really stupid conflict between that particular motherboard...
I’d ask three whether if you get another plan on their network you can transfer your current number over to that new plan.
If they say yes, job done. Get new phone on new plan, transfer number, cancel old plan.
I am not buying anything else this month.
I am not buying anything else this month.
My prescription lenses turned up for my VR headset today, so in all honesty I'm busy taking VR p**n to a whole new level of clarity and crispness anyway.
Are they that much better than just getting label sheets for a normal printer?

Seems like you'd need to print a huuuuuge amount of labels for one to be worthwhile?
Not trying to piss on anyone's chips, I'm interested in how good they...
The pancake lenses in the latest headsets help with that a lot, but yeah, getting used to moving your head rather than your eyes to stay in the sweet spot takes some getting used to.
Not tempted by AMD? The 6700 XT is a nice step up in performance for nearly the same money - unless you’re into using ray tracing or want the DLSS features.
Bloody amazed at how far VR has come. I bought an Oculus Rift (the original, not a Rift 2) and it was OK but was heavy, the resolution wasn't that great so the screendoor effect was offputting, the field of view was narrow and needing to have the camera towers set up was a pain.
I bought a Pico...
Just bought a Pico 4 headset (goddamn Prime Day, I had escaped the evil clutches of Prime.....)
Will be interesting to see how well it works vs a monitor :)
The premium on LY cars has always boggled my mind, but hey, I like some weird s**t and would pay good money for it so....
Not like that, you have filthy minds. Bunch of animals.
Oh wow, VR headsets are cheap on eBay these days.
I didn't get any nausea issues when I tried an Oculus Rift a year or two back, but sold it because honestly I wasn't sold on the VR gaming experience. Very tempted to pick something up for racing sims. And VR p**n, obviously.
Nice :) Maybe one day, but for now I literally just want to dip a toe in the water and see if it's something I will enjoy.
Honestly I have a lot of fun just playing from keyboard (I know, crazy deviant fool!) but I'm pretty sure it would be even more enjoyable if I wasn't setting everything up...
Bump!
I've realised that when I'm gaming on my PC these days, it's almost always a racing sim.
I have a Logitech G29 wheel and pedals, but I don't use them because I find the pedals really uncomfortable from my office chair, and if I have the chair low enough then the steering wheel is too...
They are really cool, last I heard there are still some actually in use powering lifts and suchlike. They’re too inefficient for industrial use any more.
I bought one of these for charging, I find it much more convenient than just having the charger loose

This is where I think Apple have really got it right and changed the game. Everyone else has built hardware in search of a use, Apple have built an actual computing environment with hardware to support it. Software has always been their differentiator - sure, they make nice hardware at a premium...
I'm glad it exists purely because of the storm of fuckwittery it's unleashed on the BBC's have your say forum.
How can people who know so little comment with such certainty
I'm really excited for it, but honestly it depends how much of what it promises it can actually do. It's going to all be about the quality of the screens, the optics and the software. What they are promising in the demos is a long way ahead of what's been possible up until now, specifically in...
That's a good shout, intake noise is cool :)
As to where to get a cherry bomb, there are tons of stockists, even demon tweeks do them so have a google.
Should have said, I'm planning to have it hooked to a TV and use a Stadia controller for input so something that retains button mappings etc would be excellent. There will be a wireless keyboard attached too, but ideally as controller-centric as possible.
Slightly random question, I have a one of those little NUC-a-like tiny form factor PCs with a mighty two core four thread i3 in it and I was thinking it would make a nice little retro emulation system.
It's been a while since I properly looked into anything like this and things have obviously...
Depends what you're looking for in terms of noise, but there's always a cherry bomb backbox if you want louder and raspier.
It's a decent enough little engine but it's not a very nice sounding one unfortunately.
