I remember the instructor at Bedford telling us that when seated and fully harnessed up, you should be able to place your wrists on the top of the wheel with ease so that you can turn full lock without needing to stretch.
Take it to a local garage to put a tack weld on it? Then grind off when you are ready to put a proper clamp on it, or get it fully welded. Fred did a good job on mine when the previous owner took a hacksaw to the back box section and a clamp couldn't be fitted.
Yeah I had the bracket laser cut and welded in work. We binned the carbon canister so didn't need all the piping, for the 172 you just need to blank off the small breather hole.
Quite a few people have placed them on the right hand side, there are three M6 holes to pick up on.

How does a clip differ from a standard garage diagnostic? The only error code it reads is P0120. I've been chatting to Mick...
I've done a few searches and they come up with a whole host of issues for the TB and pedal sensor. Mine doesn't seem to match any as I can drive it fine and no issues with idle speed etc. From what I've read it could be wiring, ECU, or another sensor throwing the fault. Just need advice what to...
I've had an error code P0120 with the engine light and squiggly line one above oil temp. Fred cleared these last week and the engine ran perfect on the way home.
The next day I come to drive it and it's back in limp mode and both lights come on again. The car is sluggish but throttle response...
