BIG NEWS!!!!!!!
Got a phonecall today to say my carbon fibre roof is ready and will be delivered early next week!!! Can't wait to be able to post some pictures!!
We've lost the origioanl picture of my brother cutting up the loom but this is the back of the dash having the radio, door hazard, rear wiper etc wiring being removed
MORE PROGRESS AT LAST
Just a little update really work has slowed a bit really as the cage is a B4$74&D job to weld in but we've got that under way. It took a lot of cutting, grinding, prying and hammering to get it into position. the biggest problem we encountered was the ridiculously thin...
After spending a weekend welding the cage into the ol' valver we've got a bit more welding and tidying to do and then it's time to start looking at welding a harness bar in. Only problem is I don't know what sort of tubing to get n where from. Any ideas???
The cage...
That was me went to powerflow but it was far from cheap as the car couldn't be driven there. Before we stripped it back out again we did have oil level and temp working but no pressure as our egine had no sesor, did you fit an aftermarket one? As you know our temparature guage does work but the...
A good friend of mine jumped her 2002 83k clio 172 over a roundabout earlier this week and it's written off. The insurance company have just offered her £4500 then obviously take off her £450 excess. Reckon it's a fair offer?
Yeah you'd be very hard pushed to source second hand quarter in my 10 yaers working in bodyshops i've never seen anyone fit a used one. Quarters are also a very involved job to swap taking around a day to replace properly then you've got paint and theres quite a lot needs to be stripped and...
I think i'm willing to suffer the inconvenience for the finished result and as said whip the passenger seat out and swap the drivers belt come mot time.
I know but they look a bit cheap in my opinion and since the car is gonna purely be a toy convenience isn't a real problem. Have you had any mot problems with you aircraft style buckles?
I'm just starting to look into ordering the harnesses for the valver project but i'v run into a bit of trouble. I want 3" shoulder straps, not so fussed about the lap straps and i'd really prefere aircraft style buckles but I can't find any that fit this criteria and carry an ECE approval for...
If all the parts were there waiting this conversion is mega easy and quite quick really. As we just used a decoded ECU it really was pretty simple to wire up too (no rev counter yet mind). I think we'd be more than happy to do one for someone, only problem is times a bit of a stretch at the...
This had dephaser problems and has a video to compare your noise with which led to disaster, so probably best get it sorted asap

Sorry fella's been a non clio weekend i've not been able to get on the internet either, I'd love to be able to help you dan but with regards to the temparature guage wire we actually spliced a 172 plug onto the end of the valver inner wing loom and have now trimmed the old valver plug off along...
Wish we could help but it really was pretty straight forward once we'd got our head around what was going on. Essentially the Ecu and engine loom do everything to do with running by itself, as Wayne and Danlp says it's only a case of matching up the fuel pump, ignition and starter feeds on in...
I got a new sensor for mine the other day and for the tdc sensor and wiring section it cost me £34 from renault but I found out this morning that the plug they supplied doesn't fit the sensor they supplied. D'OH! For the sake of soldering 2 wires i'll probably replace the loom (when they give me...
