BTT, need help with this by tonight!

For all those with slammed mk1 RTs, do any of you have problem of it bouncing up and down like its on drugs? Am I right in thinking its cos the backs sitting on bump stops which causes this? My fronts lowered 55mm which was fine, drove fine when I tested it to make sure they were rate, then...

Get a Leon Cupra R, quick as fook but with decent build quality, or a Octavia RS, get it chipped and thatll fly, again with decent build quality.

Theres already tie wrap sorta things there that held the old pipe in, look were it says Renault energy on that pic!

Right so a simple test, spray with WD40, if it goes away for 40 seconds I know its that which is knackered! Ill give it a try tonight.

Hmmmm, funny you should say that cos I can hear a whirring noise when the cars idling but it goes away when the clutch is pushed in. This best not mean the clutch is on its way out? :(

I wasnt gonna lower it, nearly 3 year its been high but thought feck it, be rate!!! Still doing 300+ mile a week though so Im hoping itll be fine. Was told to go for a 35mm drop though with miles but thought feck it, may as well slam it!!!! Sprayed loads of WD behind the caps and been trying...

Yeah, thats exactly it!!! It should pull the torsion bar out! Although Im currently having problems gettin the dust caps off, well and truely stuck on :(

Me 1.4RT keeps squeaking like hell, Ive tightned fanbelt as much as possible yet it still keeps doing it. Could it be the bearings that are going? Might sound daft but could I spray the pulleys with wd40?? Been down to local garage who reckoned the cold weather puts more strain on alt causing it...

Cheers for that Bennyboy, I think one of me mates is bringing a bolt to pop the torsion bar out with. It all seems fairly straight forward but I can see summit annoying like a bolt snapping or summit happening.

Right, me and some mates are gonna attempt to lower my Clio (mk1 phase 2 1.4RT) Saturday. Gonna be fitting new springs to the front and adjusting the torsion bar. Got the guide off RSC members section but wanna know what tools well need? I assume the front shocks are just bolted on and hoping...

Im fitting 55mm KTR springs to my RT next weekend, running 15x195x45 and gonna drop back 60mm. Ill let you know how it went if ya want!

They were very cheap for me, half the price of Adrian Flux.

Tighten the arial, mine was leaking from same place and this sorted it. Could also put silicon round as someone else said.

Ive got the K-tec pads an all, kevlar jobbies, not bad at all.

That blue RSI is currently for sale as well! Tis a tidy example, got a full sound system innit now an all and sounds sweet as! PM me if anyone wants it and Ill put you in touch with the guy!
