Well Ive had mine vavler bonnet for almost a year without anything stopping the rain gettin in apart from the black grill, the normal rain diverter wont fit because the filter is in the way. However, its not caused a problem, even after heavy rain the car will still start first time and runs...
Mines the fatest, 80bhp of throbbing 1.4, lol, actually might be 82/3 with the filter and zorst! Come on, you 150bhp willy owners must be scared by that :)
I have a vavler bonnet on my mk1 RT and where the air scoop is on the bonnet fits directly above the air filter (k&n 57i) so thats kinda similar I suppose! It funnels cold air into the filter and eliminates the hot air rising sucking in power down problem!
Driving to work this morning and get cut up on a roundabout by a white van man, I thought nothing of it but apparently the man wanted to demonstrate how to milk a cow? Curious I thought, anyway, I go to overtake when we turn onto a dual carriageway but apparently the white van man did not see me...
Daz, I drive mine hard ish I think, well almost everyday itll hit the limiter but when its not on the limiter its on less then 3k. This has been so since I bought the car 2 1/2 years ago, now covered 80k in total, 40k by me in this time and it still runs sweet as. The only way your gonna knacker...
I swear mine felt so much faster on the way home from work, theres a dual carriageway uphill with lights at the bottom where I live and usually itll do 65 before I reach the top of the hill, today I hit ummm more then that, lets say 70 for legal reasons.
Does the engine losen up and get...
Corsa?????? Ummm, Id say no to the Corsa, basically a new Nova boy racer car.
106 quicksilver arent rapid really, arent they 9-10 seconds to 60?
Fiesta zetec S is about 10 seconds as well I think.
Pug 306XSI around 9 seconds?
Personally Id got for the Fiesta, supposed to have really good...
Thats what I thought as well sweeney!
To be honest, when I got 120 it was on the longest ever runway (not road, that naughty) and took forever! I havent dared go for it since for that long but Id guess it wouldnt do 120 now, even if there was a very big runway with no other people on it!
If you take it to Renault, itll cost a fortune, take it to a back street place with a decent reputation and itll cost you £100-£150. I dunno whether thatll effect your anti-corrison warrenty though.
Ive read on here so many people with rattling passenger seats, wouldnt it be cheaper for Renault to invest in sorting the problem in production, rather then have to fork out in warrenty repairs afterwards?
Its all our lovely French cars ya know, fun, fast but crap build quality!!! My mums...
As Im gettin a mk2 172 in the distant future I was hoping all the build quality issues would be ironed out. The build quality on my current Clio (95, mk1 1.4RT) is top quality Id have thought they could have only gone forward! I aint got no rattles, clonks or owt, the only thing thats gone wrong...
Its been every month for the past 6 months... possibly though ant it!
Plus Ive heard the build quality of the Cup is lacking, lots of rattles, but Ive only read about this in Evo and PGTI, but that couldve been the same PR car.
