Nah, Im not a member of Cliosport, Im a traiter! Im a fully paid member of RSC!
What is this midlands meet anyway? Where? When? and do you have to be a member to come?
Nice pics scribbler, have been waiting for them! Looks good though, but what I said on another forum bout it is not whether insurance would come down, but whether they actually approved your security measures. Obviously not having to put a key in to start might be fishey with insurance, you know...
RT_owner, thats the digi thing I was on about on boys toys, dont look bad for £100!
I dissappointed about sound though, it dont have roar when the revs get going! Could record the sound on my 8310 but dunno how to get it on the computer!
By the way, Im planning on do some more runs and...
0-60 will never be 9.4 on the road, driver skill will knock it down to 10 at least! Im sure someone had official figures out a brochure or summit scanned in as well saying 0-60 in 10.6, anyone on here?
Anyone done a 0-100 run in the RT?
I use a Fuji A101 digital camera, not meant for video but allows you to record 20 seconds video clips at a time with no sound though. Some new digital cameras let you take longer video clips with sound, boy toys or summit similar do a digital video camera for £100, record as long as youve got...
As Daz said about my jumpy needle, been doing it since i bought it 2 1/2 years ago but doesnt bother me, stops at 60/70 anyway.
As for hill, they were both uphill not down, first was up a small hill, second was a decent sized, going up a slip road onto dual carriageway
It might well be the right colour when it was new, but paint fades over time, itll still shine and look great but sunlight fades it and youll never notice until you come to touch it up.
As standard there 11ish. I wouldnt say mines modded really though, just got K&N 57i and peco backbox, oh and vavler bonnet to keep the filter cool. Nothing to give big power gains, might be 2-3bhp in what Ive got.
Get an account at Lycos, where I got my vids hosted, free and dont seem to mind vids.
If there not massive (less then 1 meg) you could mail them me and Id upload them to my lycos space?
mailto:brian.morris5@ntlworld.com">brian.morris5@ntlworld.com - but iclkle files, Im on 56k!
I got loads of bluetac to stick it to the flat bit just behind the steering wheel and just in front of the dash, keeps it steady right on speedo and a decent pic as well.
I agree, I reckon late 9 seconds is the best for any RT. Does shock a fair few people though, espeically rep cars who see the 1.4 badge when sat at lights, then wonder why there 1.6 Mondeo cant keep up!
Ive done similar with my RT a few weeks back but no-one was interested :(
Ill post again!

I believe you as Ive had experiences with VTRs in my RT, however, Ive only got induction and backbox nothing else so prob not as powerful as yours. With the mk1 VTRs Ive beat some and lost but a lot of time its neck and neck, nothing in it at all. The 0-60 on them is only around 10 secs...
I agree DTWD, if you drive down the motorway with heaters off but the temp select on red you can feel hot air being blown in the cabin, if you turn the temp to cold then it blows cold air in from outside, if that makes any sense!
£11500 from uk car brooker, not main dealer. Print it out from there site, take to dealer, sure theyd match! If not, walk out, buy from uk car brooker!
Has anyone fitted an aftermarket MD player to there 172?
Does it need an adaptor to fit in the dash or is it standard single din?
Can you get an adaptor for display at top?
I dont have a 172 but looking into buying one, just wanted to know whether my current single DIN sony md would work...
Id have thought having the heaters on hot would draw hot air out the engine, especially good if youve got a induction kit relying on cold air!
But the rest sounds good, all makes sense, not just for RTs but for vavlers as well.
Another tip though, spend 3 hours cleaning it and then drive it...
Same here, have you noticed how much more petrol it gobbles when youve floored it though. I travel to derby and mansfield and back again everyday 5 days a week and a tank last me a week if I stick to 70 there and back all the time, as soon as I go to 90 or floor it from the lights it really...
