Theres another design fault in mk1 clios you might not know about, friend of mine told me!
The 2 water hole things under the rear windscreen, whack a couple of screwdrivers in it and itll pop out!
In fact, my mate has an elise as a weekend car, he always takes it to kwik fit for news tyres, never scracthed his alloys either! Come to Mansfield lol!
The lads at Kwik Fit in Mansfield have also taken care of my car, always put plastic stuff over seats, drive it sensible into test bays and my alloys never come back with chunks out em! Same everywhere, some places have muppets, some have decent guys.
They must have been developing it on the smoothest track for 2 years, then when they tested it on the road, must have thought, oh f*ck, then the rest of the time spent trying to sort it!
Bet its fab-diddly-tastic on the track though!
Well Cooper S has 163bhp dont it? RT lucky to get 90bhp?
Just find it hard to believe a RT can leave a Cooper S, I own an RT and know mine wouldnt stand a chance against it.
Kiwk Fit, tell em to take there time and be careful, theyll cover the whole wheel in weird gunk, itll come back messy but not have any scratchs or owt. Well thats from my experience anyway at Mansfield quickfit.
Liverpool vic are quality, last year with flux I was paying £1100, this year, exactly same car, same mods, same everything, vic charge me £565!!!
I did a quick quote for standard on there site, said between £400-£500, rang up and told her all the mods, didnt add much really £65-£165. With...
Nope thats right, the mk1 phase 1 had 80bhp, the mk1 phase 2 had 75bhp but the mk2 is faster! I dont understand either but its true! Maybe the phase 2 is lighter or loses less power or summit, I dunno!!
See here ->...
Ummm all the 1.4 mk1 have the same engine, phase 1 more powerful but slower then the phase 2 mk1s. Anyway, yes, a induction kit will fit and work but not very well. Unless youve got loads of cold air ducting or a vavler bonnet to keep the engine cool, youll notice no power gains, but it will...
Yeh, I thought that! When I asked a few weeks back again (cos I was gonna but from mytyres and fit at kiwk again) they told me £7.99 a rim! Maybe they forgot to charge me or summit! Tis kiwk fit!
Kiwk Fit charged me £55 a tyre, 195x45x15 for Eagle F1s, including fitting and balancing.
Before Kiwk Fit when I ordered from mytyres, I took them to be fitted at kiwk fit and they didnt charge me, just charged for tracking.

Excellent service as well, they even phoned me up the day of delivery to make sure the tyres had arrived on time!
Right, there were 3 phases for the mk1 Clio.
Phase 1 had naff rear headlights, no dash extension, push up sunroof, no leccy heated wing mirrors, different clocks style, different wing mirrors, different interior, "wanky plastic bitz" round side repeaters.
Phase 2, still with square front...
Back of the alloy sprayed? Not sure I follow, spray the inner part of the alloy the same colour as the car? Sounds weird, any pics of your mates motor like this klmillard?
If its owt like the fogs on my mk1, youll need a new lamp, there complete units so the glass cant be replaced on its own. mk1 cost £58 each so Id imagine the Cup is about the same or even more! Not cheap!
Hope they catch the nutter! Thing is though, most are hard as nails when there in the car, flashing lights and going crazy but when you actually kick up a fuss and start having a go back, theylll leave it!
About a year ago, me and my mate (big scouser) where coming home from uni down dual...
I had a similar experience on way to work this week, white van man pulls out in front of me on a roundabout, I slam anchors on, we both pull off roundabout on 70mph dual carriageway, I go to overtake and he swerves trying to ram me with fists shaking and him shouting summit. Im a little confused...
