Are you referring to the mk1 Clio 1.4, the same engine thats in the RT, Maxim, Champs Elysses and S model? I doubt very much that the 1.2 16v can keep up with this seen as the old mk1 1.4 can keep up with the VTR in a straight line up to about 80mph.
Also mentioned keeping up with all 206...

Willy 1,2 and 3 brochure, thought you willy owners might be interested! I was actually looking for a diecast williams, anyone know where I can...
Apart from the v6 Clio which already has hoooooooooge wheels! Rule of thumb is 2 inch bigger then standard usually fit without scrubbing, wonder if its true on the v6, 20 inch wheels!!!
Well I think there all the same, theres no difference in the bumpers on any other clios between mk1 phase 1 and mk1 phase 2, only the phase 3 with the round headlights had a different bumper I think.
Picture dont work but is it off autotrader and actually white with multispoke alloys? Nothing like the williams at all?!
Hang on, I got the pic off autotrader

Yeh, I confused it for a willy straight away, the colours identical, the wheels the same colour and...
You need to drill holes outside where the filter is otherwise the air being drawn in is gonna be unfiltered! There must be some way to get into the airbox to check this, arent there clips around the airbox? TBH, is it really worth the hassle? Wait till youve got a IK.
A few grands worth, the bodykit alone would be touching a couple of grand with spraying and fitting, then you gotta get some decent spacers for the wheels so they fit flush with the bodywork as well as some 18s to fill the archs, in other words, IMO itll cost a lot of money!!
The 1.4 in the maxim is the same engine in the RT, there were only 2 differences between mk1 1.4 Clios, the phase 1 had 80bhp and 0-60 in 12.5 seconds, the mk1 phase 2(late)/3 had 75bhp and 0-60 in 11.5 seconds. Dont matter whether it was the maxim, S, RT, Champs Elyyesse or whatever badges they...
Id say my power steering was quite heavy, I drove my g/f dads car the other day (Rover 25) and the power steering was so light, you couldnt feel anything at all, way too light.
Did you replace the power steering fluid at the same time then?
Yep, was on a mk1 though so price might be different but its still not gonna be £60. Fernado pads are less then £60 and there really high quality stuff!
Good work lanky, best Ive managed to get is 10 seconds and mine int standard, twas uphill though. Gonna have to strap the digi camera to the dash again and see what I can get
£60 for pads!!!!! Fudge me thats expensive, you could get some really good pads for that, not just Renault ones. I had new pads fitted at Kwik Fit for my mk1 Clio, £30 with lifetime gaurentee, if they wear out, I take it back, they replace em for free
