Just like an Outboard DAC/T-AMP for probably less or the same will rape what you have suggested AND you can run it with proper speakers not the junk that Computer users are fed.
The creative arent the best. But I am sure for what he wants to do it will do it
Whats it going to be doing on a corporate network. Tis a beast fella. Very nice.
I miss my watercooling setup. Was only a Waterchil kit with th triple rad. Effective none the less. 3.4GHZ I reckon you could easily push it further than that but I guess if it doesnt really need it then it doesnt...
DG834G is a decent router. Great for weak lines as well.
You can set it up via Wireless. Wireless i enabled by default out the box, and has no security so you can connect straight to it via wireless. Get the connection up and running, then apply wireless security at this point it will put you...
LOL is an awesome PC but NO pc is future proof.
I use the same CPU as well, sat here clocked at 3.3ghz stable with the Artic cooler at decent temps.
I have a Lian Li case with fans front and rear. Push and Pull runs spot on

Probably access issues as you have an Exchange account on there. I assume you have Admin privileges. I have never tried it before. If I need to test a POP account I usually just use Outlook Express.
You could set up a rule youth, so when email comes in it gets forwarded to a Folder of your choice. Just create a new folder and setup the Rule and jobs a good un
Or setup a new profile but that means switching between the 2 in Outlook
IMO you arent going to see a massive performance gain as you put it, bear in mind a lot of stuff you are doing wont be using the dual cores, all you are gaining really is a 512KB cache upgrade, as 200HZ in the scheme of things is feck all.
Id say save your cash until you can do a proper upgrade
From a home user point of view I would say I am leaning towards Vista, business use would have to be hands down XP, but thats more because I am familiar with it in a Domain environment
Yes it will work. Chances are your monitor is standard D-SUB connection and the connections on the 8800GTS are DVI but fear not the graphics cards come with adaptors for your monitor.
Wont be using the CDP with a DAC, I plan to run the Squeezebox through the DAC with Loseless files.
The DAC in question isnt an expensive one and seems to be well looked upon as a really good VFM product as well
Agree with that, I have the 12" vinyl version and CD version of the editors. Much prefer the Vinyl. CD sound isnt bad but for me vinyl wins.
Next step Squeezebox and DAC ;)
why wait they have been available for import through the ebay and loads of places for months and months. I bought one and sold it as they are IMO inferior to the ipod by far
I fully see what you mean with the Goldring I wasnt impressed.
I bought a CA Phono Stage, took it to Seven Oaks and had a listen to the Pro-ject 3 and the phone one you recommended. For me the sound with the CA phono stage was better. So I bought the Pro-ject expression 3. Very happy with it...
To be honest 90% at the moment would be CD's. I just fancy trying Vinyl. hence the low initial outlay as I may tire easily of it.
I loved the Naim but needs must and all that plus the room it was in wasnt ideal and hence it didnt really get played very much. Hence I sold it.
I wasnt...
Not interested in turning vinyl into MP3.
Sold the Naim stuff, at the moment I have a Cambridge Audio 640A and 640C with some B&W 385 Standmounts.
Will try and get a listen to some Rega stuff and the Pro-ject audio.
Re: a f**king joke
I never said they didnt..........
I said a 3.4GB patch is a bloody monster and I havent seen a patch that big. All he has to do is say what its for but he wont as it doesnt exist its a game hence him shitting himself.
I do love MOFO though
Anyone here with a Hifi setup running a turntable still? I am not talking 1210's or anything like that.
