Finally finished the game! 19 hours of play without trying to complete all the objectives etc, think I might pick up some of the DLC, really enjoyed it.
I don't get anywhere near enough time to game these days ?
Good advertisement for their business too, I imagine. Would be quite happy to have those guys working on my car, although maybe not if I was having to pay for that level of obsessive detail at commercial rates ?
I've got two separate Arlo setups, one with two cameras running in a remote location with no fixed internet over a 4G modem and one with four cameras at home. All the cams are the first generation wireless ones.
They're very good from the ease of use and setup point of view, but do have their...
I’m loving it. I’m so impressed with the sense of immersion, gives me a buzz but I haven’t had from games in years.
Yes, it’s a bit clunky and heavy, the screen door is visible if you look for it, generally it feels like a version 1.0. However, I can see myself getting a lot of use out of it...
Well, they have dropped the price of the rift to 350 until the 26th so that was enough of a push for me to give it a go.
One Marvel special edition set ordered......
If I don’t get on with it I ordered from Amazon so easy to return.
Could do, but TBH I'd rather just upgrade the speakers, they're budget starter bookshelf jobs hooked up to some decent mid-range components.
I just got a suitable cable to dump my Logitech 5.1 system I had hooked up to the PC for donkeys years and run it through the separates system instead...
I suddenly remembered this thread, I have no idea why.
I ended up with a bunch of used/refurbished hi-fi gear for not a lot of money.
Cambridge Audio Azur 651A Amp and matching Azur 615C CD player, a Yamaha KX-580 tape deck and some Wharfedale bookshelf speakers.
It sounds amazing, the only...
IMO the hardware is too expensive to get mass market adoption and there’s no killer app, you need to be really interested in the concept to buy in at the moment. Plus it’s really not a good look.
On the other hand, Elite: Dangerous and Star Trek Bridge Crew? Yeah, gimme some of that. :D
Anyone got an Oculus Rift? Any thoughts on it?
A mate has just got one and is raving about it, seriously tempted. Oculus are apparently going to knock $50 off in the states for Black Friday so if they do the same in the UK that could be the tipping point for me......
I’m absolutely positive the mondeo will be the better car in every way.
I’d still keep the Volvo :)
Oh and on the DPF stuff it’s changed - apart from the visual test they’ve tightened up the smoke test so a car that should have a DPF but doesn’t is very likey to fail. Lot of cars getting...
Fair play. I’m not into all this tribal bull with cars either, especially in such a crowded and competitive part of the market it comes down to what your own experience leads you to prefer at that point.
Looking forward to seeing how the not-an-Mcar-honest works out for you.
Unless you can see pics of the damage you just never know, also if it was related to the crash structure in any way has it been bodged back together with the cheapest pattern parts? I think you were wise to walk away TBH.
I’ve spent so much time trying to debug that exact problem recently. Just seemed to start happening out of the blue on Windows 10. In the end I gave up and got one of these:
TP-LINK TL-WN822N 300 Mbps High Gain Wireless N USB Adapter, Version 4 - White...
Sorry, was really busy yesterday so didn’t get a chance to reply. Try going to the command prompt option and then type this:
Chkdsk /f c:
That will scan the disk and try to fix errors. Will probably take a while. May not work as it sounds like the system may have already been trying to do it...
Bugger.... that looks like the hard drive is failing or has become corrupted :(
Have any changes been made to it recently?
If you have the windows install disks and can boot from them or it’s able to boot into the repair mode (often hitting f11 while it’s starting up will get you there) then...
Just resurrecting this thread - I just bought a Ticwatch E for £115 from Amazon.
Runs Wear OS 2, dirt cheap, fitness tracking works really well, screen is decent, battery life is gash but lasts a day at least.
For the money, I'm amazed. Check out the reviews.
They do ones that don’t have the USB ports, but yeah if you want the integrated USB charging too then maybe somewhere like RS or Farnell would stock them?

Probably not, but it’s certainly pretty likely that the safety and compliance certification marks will be fake.
Personally I’d be very antsy about having kit like that hooked up 24/7 and hidden behind the socket. I’d pay a bit more and get the equivalent from screwfix or similar, at least then...
I used a similar product about 20 years ago on a rusty old Cavalier. It does work to a degree, it chemically changes the rust - however if it's under the paint and spreading there then you won't stop it. For the money..... eh..... why not.
Forerunner is very targeted at... well... runners ;)
If you want a more generalised fitness/smart watch the Vivoactive 3 Music is supposed to be very good, currently £240 on Amazon. My Vivosmart HR is over two years old now and giving up the ghost (it’s had a hard life, so I’m pretty impressed...
The current iPad is very much the entry level model, it’s quick but where they saved the money is the display. Partially that’s for the education market - the screen is much cheaper to replace when it inevitably gets cracked.
I went for a refurb 10.5” pro. Apple refurbs are a good way to save a...
If it's reasonably new and came installed with Windows by the manufacturer then if it doesn't have the key with the machine it should just install and pick up the key automatically, the days of licence keys stuck to things are fading fast.
If it's a hookey copy of Win10 or you bought it second...
