I'll probably stick where I am for a while and then just shell out for a whole new machine, I'm just not sure how worthwhile it is upgrading on top of this platform much further, the motherboard is seven/eight year old tech now.
It can still cope fine with what I'm doing now, plays stuff like...
1440p at the moment - if I went 1070/1070 Ti it would be the last GFX card upgrade for this setup, would probably go 4K next time. The 1080 seems to still be quite expensive compared to the 1070 and I'm not sure I need the extra grunt for 1440p - all the more if the CPU is going to be a...
Considering my next upgrade.
I've been running my current PC since the end of 2012 so it's done really well, all it's had upgraded is an extra 8Gb of RAM to take it up to 16Gb and a graphics card upgrade.
Spec is:
i5 3570K quad core running at 4.5Ghz (stock 3.3)
GTX 970 4Gb
16Gb RAM
500Gb SSD...
What a piss boiler. Suspect he was in that van and they were scouting the neighbourhood.
That's pretty impressive resolution on that camera though, I was surprised that the scum was so clear on it when full-screening the image.
Nothing in the MoT regulations about that, I checked recently when I removed my door cards.
They get upset about sharp bits on the bodywork that could injure pedestrians but the driver can spray blood all over the interior, not a problem ;)
That sounds very wrong, I’d stop using it until you can get the charger sorted out TBH. I doubt it’s doing the machine any good at all if you’ve got sparking and shutdowns.
WBAC prices are just a reflection of what their data shows they can get for a particular car at a particular time. They're part of the BCA group and pay well for cars that will be easy to sell into the dealer networks they serve, anything else just gets punted in their general auctions so they...
Fair comment ref the pricing, I guess the question is whether you want to keep the mag ride dampers or not. If you've not got them then coilovers with adjustable damping would seem like better value.
I've always liked these, apparently it's possible to dial out a lot of the understeer with some choice suspension bits:

Might have to give that a go, I remember happy drunken null-modem MechCommander gaming sessions at uni.
Kids, if you don't know what a null-modem cable is, ask your parents, assuming they used to play PC games. Or google it. Whatever, I don't care :D
Oh yeah, that's going to be a "thing" soon enough. PPF removal services, undetectable, blah blah blah.
It's just not worth the cost of re-engineering cars which are low selling and/or nearly end of life to meet the new test requirements.
At that budget and if it's just a temporary thing I'd be going used mate, it's a bit of a roll of the dice but you should be able to find something decent local enough to go and see, plus you shouldn't lose much or anything if you want to sell it on and upgrade later.
For what it's worth I've...
