    Infernos new wheels :)

Unsprung weight saved too always good - now get it dropped. Had to take my new darker coloured wheels off mine after a trial fit as they looked daft at standard height.

OCD at its best (lots of pics)

Shocked by the standard jack action ! Aside from the danger - Thought you would want to keep that jack unused ;) Remember seeing a neighbours BX GTi come of a standard jack about 10 years ago, would not use one unless in an emergency now. If you got it up on stands you could have done all your...

    i want to learn

Microfibers come in loads of colours, they contain lots and lots of fine strands/fibres which make product removal easy and are very soft so paintwork friendly. I apply both the SRP and EGP with foam pads though - http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/accessories/foam-wax-applicator/prod_89.html and...

Indeed, a quick wash before hand won't hurt, I clay using soap and water rather than the Quick Detail spray anyway so it would be part of my claying routine anyway.

My old standard 182 with only a few K on the clock made 186 brake on those rollers maybe they don't over read after all ! Must have just been a quick 'un.

    Waxing wheels....

AG SRP and EGP works well, top with a cleaner free wheel wax like Poorboys Wheel Sealant or Swissvax Autobahn works well. Klasse AIO or Carlack 68 topped with Zaino Z2 works even better.

What should i use to clean my steering wheel?

Clean with some AG Interior Cleaner/Shampoo or a weak mixture of Meguiars APC. Follow that up with some Zaino Z10 Leather Conditioner.

    Detailing The 172 Tomorrow!

Cool, I would leave it a day to set up then top. Though I am tempted to do, 3 layers of Z5 and then 3 of Z2 on mine.

    Detailing The 172 Tomorrow!

You will need some AIO or an IP wipe down before the Zaino. I would get a few layers of Z2 on before waxing.

    Autoglym...

It is so thin and watery it is easy to apply in back and forth motions. Straight lines is the preferred method for most non abrasive products (waxes and sealants) where you don't actually need to physically work them. When you see swirls on a car they are always in circular motions and look...

    Autoglym...

Straight lines not circles for waxes and sealants will be less visible if you cause any swirls or marring, if you can see it in pics it is too thick !

Cheaper foam hand pads here - don't pay for the name Rusty. http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/accessories/foam-wax-applicator/prod_89.html

    Autoglym...

Applying the EGP requires no effort, and removing it is a breeze as long as you get it on thin enough. SRP may require some elbow grease in places if your trying to clean up and marring, if the paint is in good shape, even that won't need much effort as long as you again don't use too much product.
