how to detail...

Now ive read a load of threads but still not sure on what to do....today i got a load of autoglym stuff from halfords and set about washing the car...when i was in halfords i saw a megs clay kit,i wanted to buy it but didnt as i dont know how to clay...i have a titanium silver 172 so i just got some srp instead which i will use tomorrow as i ran out of time today..so can someone explain to me how to clay bearing in mind im a complete novice.......

cheers rich...helped me alot,just one more thing i cleaned my car today so will i need to clean it again tomorrow before i clay the bodywork

Indeed, a quick wash before hand won't hurt, I clay using soap and water rather than the Quick Detail spray anyway so it would be part of my claying routine anyway.

The srp, egp combo people talk about, which is the polish and which is the wax?

And What cloth should i be using to remove them once applied?

SRP is a polish.
EGP is a sealent.

A microfibre cloth to remove once applied :)

No worries, cheers mate. Guessing a microfibre is the very fine towel like cloth? Usually a bluey colour?
