Meg told me about this Saturday and its not far from me so I may come down. Fingers crosses for good weather.
The adapters aren't that expensive at all. Think I got mine for about £10.
ive seen people post up selling aftermarket head units from Mk3 that include the adapter.
Thanks it was a bit messy having just covered 900 miles, 4 up with luggage but she did me proud and boy did it get looks :)
yours sounded immense as it left. What exhaust is on it?
Next to my 197. When I walked behind the car waiting to board I couldn't make out the 2 rear exhausts but the reg should be 182, so not sure if its a convert?
may have just missed the exhausts due to tiredness though.
cant have missed me as I have blue and pink hair!
this boat is a bit rough...
1x200, 2x197 and 1x172
1st one was a few days ago. Can't remember when but it was at westgate complex. I was parked a few down but you were still there when I left morrisons
Hang on just realised that's a 197 next to that too and it wasn't me as I was 2 spaces down!
Make that 3 spots then...
It's really unusual to see so many in such a short amount of time!
Now this 197 may be one and the same but I've never seen it around before.
AB 197 on the A3 heading towards the services/M25 exit about 1:30pm.
I was in the other AB197 heading towards Guildford/A31.
RB200 just as I came into...
Spotted you today on my way to pick up keys from work. Was still there when I went back past 15 minutes later (around 3-4pm)
M*05 LEA was the reg I think.
Saw one in this colour on the road locally.
You'll definitely notice it that's for sure. It looks so bulky even compared to the mk3.
imo after seeing it in the flesh (well metal) pictures flatter it.
the back end isn't offensive. The side view is forgivable but that front is so LOOK AT ME IM...
It'll make you and your company hard to forget. I think that would be a good thing if you have good interaction skills.
its also a good talking point in most situations. You'll find people calling up and asking for the bloke with the yellow car and everyone will know who they mean.
i get...
Don't do it! You know this car, if you swap you are getting an unknown car that could have hidden issues.
I went for an AB 197 but would give anything for a LY one. They stand out so much and in 182 guise are very rare. I've seen lots of 182s but, as yet, no LY one (on the road)
Luckily none of my boyfriends have ever been able to drive. That's not to say they haven't damaged it.
my ex opened the passenger door and didn't watch the door. It scrapped across high pavement. That put him in the doghouse for a while as the car was still very new.
1.40pm the main road coming off the A331.
Blue 182 in front of me. Was more interested in talking to her rear passenger then driving on the road.
Blue 172/182 heading opposite direction (into town rather then onto a331) stuck in traffic behind the road works.
think you had wind deflectors...
Last night about 1200-1230.
Passed the black car first (think it was a 172 but didn't get a good enough look at the rear bumper)
what looked like an inferno with a rather loud exhaust.
I was the AB 197 that passed you both.
both were in the area of the new services by the junction with the A3...
I'm guessing yours is an albi blue if its metallic (there are 2 blues)
cup has less options and a cheaper dash (well lighter dash) and is very basic spec wise (non colour coded side stripes, no Ac in most) but it comes with the better suspension and cup chassis as standard. On non cup you have...
I fitted C2 ones to mine. Took some modifying of the bottom piece (cut off a chunk of plastic and sanded down smooth) for a direct fit but was still a 5 minute job.
Worth the effort over standard jets.
I can't see anything like that being enforced on cars already on the road (most will probably not have access to factory bits any longer) but maybe rolled out against brand new cars as the DRLs where. That's the only way I can ever see it happening.
I can't see it happening though. A big sector...
Good idea I seem to amass parts for my Clio without thinking about it. At the moment I have 2x federal RSR tyres with 4-5mm of tread, inlets, throttle body, a second set of alloy and various duplicate trim pieces that could all go!
