Utter tosspots.
This is why I'm not bothered that my car is currently coated in mud. Makes it less of a target then the M5 parked in front of it everyday.
Clio197.net is having the Christmas meal (London and SE) in the same place. No set date for that yet either.

Red non sport with sport rear bumper. Parked on merlin road.
cliosport.net sticker on Bonnet.
Nice colour, clean car and looked good with the sport rear bumper.
1 thing please don't park on top of junctions. That corner is a pain at the best of times without it being turn into a hazardous one...
I managed 35 miles after my light came on (197) I was bricking it but it just about made it. Wouldn't want to have pushed it any further.
Id assume the 200s were around the same/ever so slightly more as they have the refined gearbox mine hasn't got.
Just drove past you after the roundabout. Going opposite ways. Not seen a Matte one in the flesh but jeez they look sexy :)
I was the albi 197 heading towards the town centre.
Re: cliosport mk3
Easy tells for which is which (can't always be 100% certain but most of the time this will tell you)
Red brembos & anthracite wheels - cup pack
silver wheels and silver brembos - non cup packed.
Black trim on the side of the car means its a Cup car.
Colour coded trim means...
On the motorway. AC set to 15. Brilliantly cool whilst being sunny.
Non motorway. AC off Pano roof open windows down. Bit warmer but you can't get the same feeling from the AC as you do with everything open/down.
Using the door locks, from what I understand, sends out a much weaker 'just checking you have they key' Sensor signal compared to the stronger signal sent from the key to the car to command it to lock.
My uncle has a key jammer and using the door locks it still locked but when I tried to use...
Basically they are getting into them without setting the alarms off, coding a key into the system and driving them off.
There are 2 threads running on pistonheads regarding it. One in GG and one in the BMW forum and a lot of BMWs have been stolen this way recently.
Just thought I'd update this as I did go and get my wheels balanced on my next day off.
Turns out my front passanger side wheel has, can't think of the word so shall say buckled, so the balanced it to counteract this until I can replace it (I have a set of 4 alloys at home as spares as I know...
R27 is the F1
Recaros can be specced to any 197.
The earlier 197s pre cup won't have cup packs specced as you couldn't spec these until after the later release of the cup.
also around mid 2008 the gearboxes changed which gave slightly longer ratios in the gears.
They did 197s till late 2009 I...
If it wasn't for the fact they have been closed over Easter it would have already been back. To be honest I'd rather now take it somewhere where I know they will do it properly as I don't have confidence in the garage that put the new tyres on.
Taking some of the air pressure out seems to have...
My 197 has the occasional squeak from the brakes. Usually when I first use it after it has chucked it down with rain but I've only heard a squeak from them 4 times in the 13 months I've owned it.
So had my Tyres changed on my last day off (Tuesday) went on the motorway yesterday and noticed a steering wheel vibration that starts at just over 70 (The car had been on the motorway Tuesday morning with no issue)
Didn't have any vibration or trouble on my old Federals 595RSr. They are now...
I've seen a diesel mk3 Clio pre facelift. 175bhp and it had all the kit of a 197 (arches/spoiler/diffuser/exhaust) not sure if it was a one off but looked identical to a 197 and wouldn't have put it for a diesal if it weren't for the sales blurb.
wilsons in Epsom had one a year ago when I went...
I've lost count of the run ins I've had with these over the years. They will sit and wait for you to come then decide its a good time to cross the road.
Its like they have to survival instinct at all. Or they all just have balls the size of melons and think they can take on anything.
In their...
