If it has etched in you will need to polish the marks away as said. Renault paint is shite for this, seems to etch on contact.

lol no ! Some pads just tend to break up, mainly cutting type pads or firm polishing pads.

Get some fine grade wire wool to use with the metal polish makes light work of the clean up.

Have you got your rotary yet ? It may be quicker to remove swirls, but getting and refining the finish with one is a whole new ball game.

Wax or sealant after is a must as the paint will be unprotected.

My local Halfords both sell the Meguiars kits, as good as any out there for me. Also worth bearing in mind you car may look worse after claying so be prepared to do some polishing.

Cheap covers let water in and not back out, take a cheap cover of after few days and you will see what I mean. I have a couple of cheap covers I use for overnight purposes, would not use them for more than a few days.

Make sure it is a decent cover as long term under a cheap one will be worse than no cover at all.
