I still have my original set of pads that are over 3 years old. As above wash them after every use and all is fine. I have killed the odd pad in between but not many.

The no brainer choice to get these days is the Meguiars G220- UK machine with warranty, no need for transformer etc. I would get it with Sonus SFX pad sets - both the full sized ones and 4 inch spot pads/ backing plate as they are a must for a Clio. Pads: Cutting - Paint Correction Polishing...

Menzerna Intensive Polish, Final Finish and Sonus SFX Pads get my vote.

I just lay them flat on the panels, after filtered water there is very little to dry luckily.

I have only tried the QD, one of the best ones I have used, I will be getting a US Gallon of it.

I tend to wipe the car down after waxing with a detailing spray to get a perfect finish - will remove any wax smears or bits you may have missed. Can also be used to remove an light dust the car may have accumulated in the garage, odd finger prints etc and also to aid drying by adding...

I pick up and use whichever one comes to hand first !

I use Meguiars Last Touch as a drying aid as it is cheap. As a QD proper Britemax, Clearkote Quickshine or Sonus Carnauba Spritz.

Carnuba Spritz is a much nicer QD. I only use last touch for a drying aid and during polishing.

Unless I am going to use a sealant I don't bother with the SRP.

I rarely use the CF fluid myself these days before any of my Swissvax Waxes. I would get some Menzerna Final Finish to complement your Intensive Polish. The finish the Final Finish leaves is awesome, I go straight from that to wax.

Depends on what wax you use as to if it mutes flake.

My TomTom worked fine in the 182 - my Road Angel needed the antenna

I have a Hoya one for the 70-200, never used it though. It is to small for the 300 though.

I always top it with wax. More for looks than added protection.

lol - true - wind would have killed the brolly anyway :( They where awesome to watch, can't believe how twitchy they looked just going through Westway. The lense should be ok, though I need a filter as I am worried about wiping the Glass all the time.
