    Seriously Annoyed.

I would say it should come out with PDR even double skins are not a problem using up to date skills. Would not like to say without seeing a pics.

    tar spots

Ditto I used to like it on my old 205 GTi looks wise just needed reapplying each week. The cleaners on it mean it is not even layerable.

    tar spots

Should not really have to rub to hard, the product is designed to dissolve it. I have it in 5 litre sizes so don't think twice about using lots. If I had a tiny 325ml bottle things may be different.

FAO: Those with Suede steering wheels? Do you treat them?

A damp cloth will be enough for weekly wipe downs, and a mild solution of interior cleaner should lift any grime. There is nothing product wise that will stop it actually wearing.

    tar spots

Clay should shear it off but it is not the safest option. Repeated applications of the AG should get there in the end though. As for polish recommendations, by hand or machine ?

How did you use the Autoglym Tar Remover, left on for a few mins it should dissolve it nicely.

new wax on the way from autoglym

It is not posh enough for most on DW they have all been slagging it off before even trying it. I will be grabbing a pot when I see one.

How do i clean my paintwork??!

If washing alone is not removing the stuck on grime claying will be your best bet.

    AUTOGLYM?????

Instant Show Shine does not really compare to a proper Quick Detail Spray. It will not safely remove an light dust, is more for wiping of streaks etc after a wash. I would not use it at a show to replace a wash. The Megs Speed Detailer would be a better option, that said there are much better...

    Detailing clay

You can of course just get the clay and use soap and water to clay with if you want a cheaper option still.

    Detailing clay

In some cases to mild, I would go for the Quik Clay.

    snow foam and wax

My process for you would be something like this if working bay hand: Pre Foam - Snow Foam Wash - Meguiars Shampoo Plus or Duragloss Wash Clay - Meguiars Quick Clay Swirl or Defect removal - Menzerna Intensive Polish PO91L and or Meguiars Scratch X Mild Polish/Paint Cleaner and prepare for...

    Help polishing my engine bay

The Autosol will work lovely by machine. I use it on a light cut pad and then refine the finish with SRP on a polishing pad.

    Help polishing my engine bay

You should be able to bring it back up, any pics of how it looks now? Once something has been polished elbow grease will bring it back up, the only variable is how much effort it takes, Sometimes it is easier to get it re-licked over agin properly by machine. A lot of my mates work is re...

    Help polishing my engine bay

AG SRP and Meguiars NXT metal polish work great after other more abbrasive metal polishes to refine the finish. I would get Autosol or Autoglym Metal Polish if you want larger quanties as it comes in 325ml bottles and use one of those first. You can them follow up with the Super Resin or...

    Dirty 182 Seat Belts

Should be a few threads on this so worth a search, Autoglym Interior Cleaner works on light grime, you may need to step up to something like Meguiars All Purpose Cleaner at a strongish mix.

    snow foam and wax

I would probably go for a proper carnuba wax rather than the Snow Wax. All depends how much time you have but I would say a pot of carnuba will give better looks and durability. As to whether the Snow Foam will clean the car up to a standard your happy with I would not like to say, it won't for...

Thanks to Matt @ www.i4detailing.co.uk (7MAT on here)kindly sent me a bottle of the Britemax #6S SPRAY & SHINE Final Wet Look Detail Spray back before Xmas with an order and aside from a quick test back at Xmas time on a panel in the garage I had not...

    172vs182

As long as the phase 1 is not in the equation the interiors are much of a muchness, aside from the seat finishes on the cup. The Phase 1 dash and interior colours IMO are nasty. Know what you mean about the 182 wheels I hated them when I ordered mine, though they have grown enough to stay now...

    172vs182

Apart from appearance and spec levels there us very little differences in them on the road. I would make you judgements firstly if you like the phase 1 or 2 shapes first up, then on what level of spec you want, do you what climate over aircon, are leather, xenons and abs important to you...
