Crap, it is the brake lights. From what I can tell there should be a plunger affair that it plugs into. No sign of that. God knows how long I've been pootling around without brake lights! How embarrassing. Best get that fixed ASAP then.

Was cleaning my 172 Cup today and noticed this plug hanging down under the dashboard. It's part of a wire that plugs into the top of the accelerator pedal. What is it, and should it be plugged in?

Hello all. I recently bought a 172 Cup, which had the sound system upgraded to a Kenwood DAB number. It had this on the dashboard, fixed loosely with sellotape. Any idea what it is? The wires head into the dash. Is it to do with the sound system? The DAB aerial, perhaps? Thanks.

Hi all. My 172 Cup has a small split on the edge of the spoiler. It's so hidden that it doesn't seem worth replacing, but I don't want it to get worse. What would be the best way to repair it? Is it something I could do at home with little talent? All advice gratefully received.

I did think about that (and it's what I'm doing at the moment), but it's got the towing eye in it as well. Figured it was easier to lug it around, but I suppose it's no great loss.

Oh really? Because it doesn't screw on to anything, there's a big gap between the threaded bolt coming from the wheel well and the yellow cone. Which means it just rattles around when cornering. Surely there should be something to hold it in place?
