Hi. I'm new. And here's my new 172 Cup.

Car  Clio 172 Cup
Hi all. I'm Phill from East Sussex, just joined the Club and yesterday picked up this MB Clio 172 Cup. It's largely standard, save for what I believe is a Stealth exhaust and Cooksport springs. The previous owner was also a ClioSport member, so some of you may have already seen the car.

It's been expertly looked after for the past few years by Fred at BTM in Birmingham; I bought it from a customer of his. Big thanks to Fred for all his advice - this is the second Clio I've bought in the past week as the first one was discovered by BTM to be a complete lemon when I took it for him to look over. Thankfully the dealer gave me a refund.

No major plans for the car right now other than to bring it up to as good a standard as possible.

There's a small ding in the front bumper that needs fixing...

...and one on the driver's side B-pillar too.

The steering wheel needs retrimming due to the usual melting, and the brackets that hold the alarm sensors on the A-pillar are broken. The Cup 172 badges are missing from the B-pillars too. In addition, there's a small split on the edge of the spoiler - anyone got any idea how to fix this? Just a case of glueing it?

Lastly, does anyone know what this is? A DAB radio aerial, perhaps?

Looking forward to being part of the ClioSport community, it's already been a massive help!

Welcome. My cup has the same ding in the door pillar and the driver door is missing the cup badge. Looks nice overall, especially the wheels.
