All I can offer mate is this:
Dont go as bigger than 2" bore theres not enough power produced to warrant that kind of pipe. I reckon optimum would be around 1.75" something like that

The fuel pump for the clio is INSIDE the fuel tank. (Well it is in the 1.4 and the 16v so I am pretty sure it is on the 1.8 spi too.) It is operated by the ECU which you have obviously got rid of, so when you had the conversion done they should have done something to prevent constant operation...
Now that winter is coming are there any decent products for coating your allowys with to stop all the salt and crap from the roads damaging them and causing them to corrode?

I need to know of any difference in the engines/ancillaries/mounts etc
It would be for a transplant. Would a 19 16v engine be as suitable as clio 16v one?

Basically I just want to run a few things past him before I go ripping my engine out!
As for what parts you would need it would probaly be best and cheapest to locate a full car and take everything you need. (You could then nab the clocks and extra guages)
Engine/box/engine wiring loom
Ancillaries - alternator/radator/intercooler/anti-perculation system inc fans/inlet/exhaust...
No problem mate. Like I said I have looked into every different possibility for the engine of my car.
At the moment it is pretty standard just with exhaust + induction kit
Ordering alloys next week and will drop it 55-60mm at the same time.

I though these things were supposed to be about as economical as super cars. I only get 240 miles out of about £35 in my 1.4 clio!

Just a couple of questions, did you have to have your subframe strengthened? If so how was this done?
Also was a fuel inertia shut off fitted and how was this installed?

I did look into it at one point. I even considered whether it might be possible to use the inlet manifold and fuel rail (or even entire head) of the 1.6 mpi megane engine.
It would be quite easy to fabricate a steel plate to reduce the compression, or for a better (and far more expensive...
Okay mate there are a couple of us who dream about a low pressure turbo conversion for the 1.4spi. (If a company came up with the goods I reckon they would make a mint)
But there are some real issues to resolve before it would be possible. Dont get me wrong, Im sure with enought time, money...
