streetblaster kit? he is an official fitter for wizard of nos/highpower. currently fitted to his Hyabusa(mental!) and MANY other cars, as soon as i got some cash he will be doing my kit
would be simple enough i reckon,if you had a ll the parts, all you need is complete PAS set up from an RT, then to plumb i tin, not a job you could do yourself unless you know what your doing, IIRC ther aint alot of room by the PAS pump on RTs and changing the reck needs the car in the air and...
to a degree the track is determined by track rod ends, but if its a massive change then no, you need a longer rack, converting from valver track to williams track aint as simple as pulling out the track rod ends if you know what i mean?
yeah buit he checks all that, he starts you off with 25 bhp, then you test the car or take it for a spin, hten you go up to 50, again testing, then you can go as high as you like but he only recomends a certain level, prob 50bhp in the valvers case!
in the N/W, if you fancy a day trip to manchester i can get it you fitted for around 500, thats with guarentees etc if your engine blows up! insurance will go up, but only if you tell them about it ;)
a valver with no PAS has well heavy steering, but thats cos it sstill on auto rack,if you got a manual rack it would hopefully be lighter......reckon youd be surprised how muchpower the PAS system saps.......jsut my idea tho! could be wrong
pwer steering systems weigh alot, and if you take the pump out of the fan belt system it puts less strain on the engine making it rev easier and hopefully make a little more power!
thats where i got the idea from, had been thinking about this for a while but see major issues when it comes to the wider track on the clio as all manual racks come from lesser clios with shorter track #take a breath#
can i change my valvers PAS set up in favour of a manual rack? will the track have to be sorted as all valvers came with PAS? i know id need a custom fanbelt to get rid of pump but is ther anything else? cheers guys
mates got one of these, Adis raced it and beaten it! Cacnt really understand why they ahve been timed at sub 6 TBH, i didnt find the performance breathtaking!
yep yep, there will be plenty of time for comparison soon mate! as for the williams wider track theory.....i came up with it! the only difference i can see between a 2l valver and willy (if they have the same box) is the wider track on williams which must add to transmission loss im guessing...
5.9 secs 0-60 in a cup? LMAO, here are a few examples folks, Adis cllio (one fo the fastest on the forum!) struggles to get into the 5s, fiat coupe 20v turbo, 225bhp, 0-100 in 14 secs, 0-60 in 6.2/3. power aint the issue here, putting the power down in a FWD car is! the lighter the car, the...
so far me and Adams16v are almost defos, Jon(2Live) and Matbrown also seem to have shown interest, this can only work if you lot have deposits ready to prove interest
good gains mate, its bascially a top end mapped chip, the next level is stand alone ECU, TBH tho, its only got advantages over an off the shelf chip if you have cams/headwork or plan to have these mods carried out in the future
if we can get 5 people together we will be looking at 500 quid each, thats fitting piggy back ecu, seting it up including rr time etc, these bad boys are mapped to individual cars and are meant to be THE engine managment choice.......come on!
