Cheers Nick, I did think that water would be doing well to get there really, but I was worried about knackering something. I just cant find a good picture of the cups engine bay to make sure its got no extra water shielding...
VR6Man - yup, it was me you were speaking to about the knocking...

Ive removed the silver/grey plastic cover over the engine as it was vibrating and touching the stuff underneath it (making a harsh noise when revved). Ive had three of these bl**dy covers already due to the oil filler flap disappearing down the back of the engine and melting on the manifold, and...

Yeah, I got that it was ranked by power, but didnt realise it was actually done by bhp/tonne! Doh!!!
Anyhow, just noticed that bhp/tonne of a V6 is 230/1335kg and the Cup is 172/1021kg which are nearly the same! (172 bhp/tonne for V6, and 168 bhp/tonne for Cup!) Wow! If you take out some other...
LOL! I love the way your list reads:
"2.0 16V 172 Mk1/2/Exclusive (172 BHP)" then "2.0 16V 172 Cup (172BHP)" - isnt the Cup cheaper and lower specced!?!

Car parks arent considered to be roads so I think theres a different set of rules for what you have to do to comply with the law... If the police said they wont prosecute anyone (do you mean theyre just not taking any further action) then both of you must have acted according to the law on this...

The best bit is, I can now legitimately ignore anything jilly writes in that horrible magenta colour because my eyes go f*cked when I try and read it...
Am I reading the torque figures of these right? Desmondo has about 130lb/ft, Rhys about 126lb/ft and MarkB 124lb/ft... Surely that aint right? I thought the 172 should have quite a bit more than that?
Sorry if Im being a bit of a :p and not reading the graphs right!
Matt

Incidentally, I looked out my RR results from John Nobles which I had done when they moved into their new premises - after SuperChip I got 131bhp at the wheels with 145lb-ft torque... That was 10000 miles ago though, so things may be different now...
Doesnt seem too great a result if you ask...
