Ive raced a 16v around Elvington airfield and it felt little (if any) different to my Mk1 172 mate! (Actually it didnt feel too disimilair (sp?) performance wise either until about 3rd!!! Doh!) Is the throttle thing just a fly-by-wire issue?

Craggy Chris has got a Y-reg Mk1 172 in Iceburg Silver... Mine was the oldest 172 there and mines an X plate. Maybe youre thinking of your first meet when Captain brought along the AP-22?

Im so happy that Ive become exceedingly giddy, and Im currently skipping around in a big circle, tapping a key on each lap (tired now)... Phew! glad youre back in the flying machine and out of that tooslow4you 172. They truly are slow arent they?

Comparing these pics to yours they look virtually the same! (except mine looks a couple of years older!) apart from the extra mount for your second lambda sensor... Didnt remember my cat looking so amateur-night welded! Oh well, maybe Ill look into a different exhaust and a de-cat? :D

No probs mate, Ill take the pics over the weekend and (attempt) to post them! At the end of the day, if the car runs happily with it in place, then I wouldnt worry too much about it... It might even be an incentive to get a de-cat done! ;)
